First and foremost we should sell Ian Black, he is one of our top earners and has not played to a standard of football desired by rangers, there are plenty of players who offer a lot more at this level for a fraction of the wage. what's your views on this?

Next season I believe that we will see a different player and a player that shows all the skill that he showed at Hearts.

2.) 14 May 2013
Black would be my first choice to go, looks unfit and going through the motions for an easy payday, he can't pass, can't cross, slows the game down at every opportunity & believe it or not can't tackle.
Unfortunately, wanting him and others to go, and getting someone to take them of our hands is a problem, and we don't have the money to pay them off. Looks like same old same old next year if we are still allowed to play somewhere!

So please tell me which club is going to meet Black's salary because youv'e already said he hasn't played up to ypur standards? £7k a week for a painter and decorator, therein lies your problems, nobody wanted him at the end of last season then you offer him £7k a week, you couldn't make it up!

How can U sell a player that no one wanted for free when his last club let him go so why now would they pay money for him, think back was he not going to start being a joiner or a plumber again until rangers offered him stupid money when they could have got him for a grand a week or less, so I think you are stuck with him

5.) 14 May 2013
Who would want him. When he signed he had no club remember. As you say he has hardly tore the division up!

6.) 14 May 2013
How long is his contract for? Might cost more in compensation fees.

7.) 14 May 2013
I thought he may improve with someone in the midfield to help him. but as you say on these wages he should be helping others. he patently is not, so as you say get rid and try and find a partner for the impressive McLoed
a young box to box player or a older holding midfielder someone who can find templeton and McKay. if we can get shot of him then hell yes go for it

8.) 14 May 2013
I agree with the first post, everything in our team is early days at the moment. Give him more time

9.) 14 May 2013
Totally agree. Black has done nothing to suggest that he will be of benefit to the team in the coming couple of years. I though Rangers played better when he was injured. He is too defensive minded and is always prone to a pointless and avoidable booking.

10.) 14 May 2013
If we are honest, very few of the players have done anything worth getting excited about this past season. The defence excluding Wallace has been a disaster and if we are looking to exit players then Cribari and the Greek fellow along with one or two of the other so called centre backs should be on their way and for me Shiels should be on his way unless he develops a heart and some backbone.

Blackie will be captain when big jig retires!

12.) 14 May 2013
I can't believe professional footballers require more time. in the real world which one of us would be given a year in any of our jobs to get it right. in his case still not right. Paid more than any of us to kick a ball, keep fit and earn a fortune, get on with it!

13.) 14 May 2013
I can believe ally needs more time
this pre-season its going to be something else because that's the reason we were served up football with no passion, no urgency, flat flat football and do you know what that was the way it was when he was in charge in the cup games, flat as a pancake
if were stuck with him. what can be done about this?

14.) 15 May 2013
Give Black another year, he could be a different player next season. Remember Mark Hately, everyone wanted him sold after his 1st season which was shocking but look how different he was after that.

15.) 15 May 2013
Who would buy back - nobody else wants him when he was for free- stuck with him & another drain on wages

16.) 16 May 2013
Ian black is the worst rangers player ever'''' not thro talent but sheer mind set. he is a total person and couldn't care less and shouldn't be allowed to wear the gersy

17.) 19 May 2013
I could not agree more. it was a mistake to sign him in the first place. no one in the bottem 3 divisions play with a sitting midfielder. we need a playmaker in there. we need to sort out the center of defence first.

18.) 20 May 2013
In a scrappy league he has made scrappy tackles, your right in saying he slows the play down but I doubt for one second Ally signed him thinking this boy is going to set the place on fire if anything it was quite the opposite, we desperately needed leaders and arguably still do Ian Black is exactly that and not only that when the opposition is on the attack he will do everything humanely possible to break up play, it may not be pretty but in these leagues at this level its a necessatiy. He is maybe on too much money but at the time we were desperate for numbers and experience, he does the dirty work on the field the type of player I love playing with because it means he plays the 6 yard pass to me when he gets it and I can run at the defence!
