I hope you are right! the signings so far are ok but still think we need 3 or 4 players with that extra bit of quality and that sort of money would certainly do that.

Yeah and I've just seen a flying unicorn king is a fake he said he didn't see any rangers games last season as he lived in south Africa my cousins have lived there for 31 years and 2 companies show gers games another king lie he doesn't even like football which makes it even worse

Man I would love it to be true. But in all honesty even if we wanted to spend that kind of money. Who is going to come to the championship in Scotland. I mean yes we still have the name but were in the wrong league . To sign top quality players not to say that the players we've brought in ain't no good. because I'm actually really happy with who we've got so far

Believe it when I see it

Not saying I don't believe this source but it was ludicrous to spend that type of money in the Championship! A better idea would be to get up to the Premiership to them spend around 10-20m

Where? When? Are you saying this is to come or that's what he has already put in?

10.) 11 Jul 2015

Any of this money going to be spent on players?
A scouting team would be good as well.

sounds great if true, let's just spend maybe 2=3million on players now if we can, (i know it would be hard to bring players in atm) but i'm thinking scott allan, can get him for under 700k and a potential sell on clause.

My opinion is the management have been using the last 2 wks to evaluate the squad. obviously the 2 centre halfs was a certainty given the amount of goals shipped last season. but for me there is still some quality players still at Ibrox from the previous regime but were just mismanaged, Templeton, law & Shiels all had some really good seasons in the premier league before they joined Rangers, I would think Warburton will be looking to see if he can bring out the best in those players.

With regards to budgets the board & management will be holding those particular figures very close to their chests. I do believe we will spend but at the same time not wanting to give clubs/agents the impression that there is a willingness to perhaps overpay on contracts & transfer fee's.

For me we are very short on strikers & money needs to be spent in that particular area! We need a player with presence, mobility & speed, bringing a player in with those attribute's will cost!

just my opinion folks

Heard same amount £8.5m in coffers now but its all season ticket money that's all.still promise that it will be added too? can only think if Mr king was adding any money the media would be shouting it from the roof tops.

I agree Aldo certain players were never given a chance Templeton Gallagher and McKay I also still believe Clark can become a great striker he never got a fair crack and run o games but we never replaced MacLeod, Law is a passenger we need a top striker at least 3 midfielders 1quality creative midfielder and right back. Anyone else think that we have the potential to win the Scottish cup and as our European ban spent we could be back in Europe nxt season which could help to attract quality signings

the £8.5 million is to cover the shortfall in revenue for next season. We will not be paying large transfer fees unless the player is a stand out. Management team having difficulty selling Scottish football but the transfer window in January could be very interesting

TrueBlueDrew I think you have nailed it mate. The season ticket money/ gates receipts (pay at the gate)plus small amounts of sponsorship and money from sales through Mr Ashley's organisation fall way short of what is needed to get this rusty, slow old juggernaut which fails all it mots through the course of the season.
The two things that ideally need to happen is some public listing and pay Ashley off because if the bears knew all the money was going to the club many many more kits would be purchased. With regard to the shares having had two relatively unsuccessful issues which have been totally consumed there will probably be little to no interest from the city so it is again up to the individual bears and a lot of this will be led through how Mr Warburton's team performs.
Has there ever been a more classic chicken and egg situation?

If they have put in 8.5m (which I doubt) it will be swallowed up very quickly as working capital. Very little, if any will be available for transfers. Look at the accounts, they show a club in trouble.

There was a real need for us to sign at least half dozen quality first team players. That opportunity has already been missed.

Nonsense to suggest Clark and Gallagher are any where good enough to fire us to promotion. They are not good enough

the £8.5m is over and above season book money and any other revenue that has come in this is not supposition its fact I will not reveal source but he works at the highest level at ibrox and is straight as a die
