Have I got this right. Dave King wants to take Oldco out of liquidation and pay creditors maybe 50p or 60p in the pound.

This being a man who openly wanted liquidation rather than administration. And who also claims to be a major creditor?

Whats your point?
As a supporter liquidation was a sensible option at the time. Remember the BIG tax case was hovering around.

He was undoubtedly a creditor so would have two views on the situation.

I am just baffled if all is well in the rangers just now why would king feel the need to even bring this up up? They are playing the best football of any team on the planet the new manager has skills and knowledge beyond the fergusons and mourinhos of the world.

So why try to resurrect the liquidated club if all is well. Or if whilst doing his due diligence they have realised it is actually as we all know a new club or the sfa have confirmed to him it is the new club formed in 2012 and fearing the fans backlash when thus is finally confirmed tries this I will buy the liquidated rangers "the traditional rangers " to stop the future riots in the streets and protest marches to hampden??

I think it only right the people who ended up losing money from the liquidation get as much of their money back that they were due.

I for one think this is a good thing and also shows that we are no longer being taken for a ride by spivs while also regaining a bit of pride and respect by righting a few wrongs done by Whyte and SDM.

If it's viable and can be achieved why not.

I have no interest or do I care about the new club, old club patter that goes about. All I know it's still the same club I grew up following since I was a kid and while its been a rough time over the last few years I still love watching rangers play, maybe more now than ever. All the crap should have taught us all never to take success for granted.

Naz you missed Dave kings main point, if we collect the money that was taking from U.S. illegally then people would probably be paid 100 p in the pound, we have now got hmrc by the stones IMHO.

Liquidation of the oldco at that time was required to protect the football club.

Now that the truth is all unravelling I think it would be a good gesture to use the money coming in from the court cases to pay creditors 60-100p on the pound, take the old company out of liquidation and reunite the club with the old company.

Everyone's a winner, it makes sense and draws a line under the years of sabotage under the running of Loyds bank, Craig White, Charles Green and all the other corporate vandals who tried to take advantage of the "big tax case" which was hanging over us at the time.

55 is coming

santa and northger, you are right.
it is good to do something more than you have to. it draws a clear line between the spivs and where we are now (and indeed used to be all the time).
only dk will know why as regards the timing.
