Heard a rumour that Kevin Thompson might be making a return in January to fill that defensive mid role until the end off the season until we can bring in will vaulks and Craig sibbald from Falkirk.

Sibbald is a good player though should been involved in Scotland under 21 games years ago can play for Ireland and England to. Alston is more ready though for us prob there best player we can land on a bosman.

I rated kevin thomson very highly when he was at ibrox and said when we signed him from hibs that we got the better player of the two when they signed scott brown, a point for wee ally here, kevin thomson has been deployed in the defensive midfield role many times mate and can play that role with ease! If thomo is injury free and fit I'd have him back at ibrox in our defensive midfield role tomorrow!

Don't know what sites you're reading Wee Ally, but Thompson most certainly can play defensive mid-field. Probably his best position.

Post sounded as if they were meant to be like for like replacements Sibbald is left wing or attacking mid and Vaulks is to wee for a center back only one worth taking is Sibbald because he can play up front to.

Far to wee yes he is a center back 5 11 Cole Cfici would bully him. We want big monsters at the back to deal with there aerial threat if we can't get any from abroad Eastman would be good because he can pass it out from the back would suite how we play 6.3 foot would be able to duel with both of those guys.

Seriously when was the last time we scored from a set peice? I mean a big guy ghosting in with a header? Apart from Trav finding the top bag? Am not slatting how we play because I enjoy it. How ever we could keep the style with a more physical edge. And we are going to need it when we go up. If we gi up am confident we will but then again was confident last season to.

Anybody see Alston and his goal against Hamilton in the Scottish? Technic was outstanding if we do not snap him up and he does not move to England. Would not be surprised if he went there and they devolped him a extra year and he moved for big money. I would try and get him for us.

I am a Falkirk and a Rangers supporter and watch both teams and I can tell you that will vaulks is a CDM and is also a very strong defender and scores plenty of goals with his head out jumping most defenders.
