Rumour that Charlie telfer may be allowed to leave dundee United, he was one of our most promising youngsters and he was allowed to leave, does anyone else think he could do a job for us? he has looked good when playing for Utd.

Who said, Clark, Law and Shields are leaving?
These guys have a roll to play this season .

We got 200k development fee for him (hilarious) so it'd be nice to step in and take him for nothing just to wind up their chairman who is an absolute knob.

I've no idea if he's any good right enough.

Brian p, they are rumoured to be leaving as they are high earners and I think they are nearing the end of contracts, Rangers may wish to move them on to get some fee for them and I think it has been rumoured that shiels would like more 1st team football to enhance his chances of makin the NI squad for Euro 2016 mate.

He decided to leave and has failed, wouldn't entertain this one for a second. Good luck to him in finding another club.

Luigi I think he left as ally wasn't give him a chance of 1st team football that in my opinion was wrong as youth should have been given a chance when we were working our way back through the lower leagues.

I think you're right Forfar.

Cheers the Campbell. i think if telfer and others had been given a chance to get us through the lower leagues they would have built up an experience of playing for our great club week in week out and going in to the top league next season would have become key players.

If he can't get into a really poor Utd team he ain't getting into the current rangers team.

Playing for losers week in week out may have had an affect on the lad, if we did go for him I believe the new coaching system might just revive the lad, we'll wait and see, but good luck to him anyway you don't just lose it!

Your right that far from super ally made the young lads feel that they were unwanted and didn't give them a chance. No arguments there, you have to ask under what circumstances he would have given them a chance.

I think it was out of fear, coisty deep down knew he wasn't up to it and thought that packing the team with experience was way to go. Cost us a lot of money and has done us no good in the long run.

But wouldn't for a second have telfer back. He's failed to make it at a rank rotten Celtic feeder team, not because he left us- I would have done the same if I was him.

Having seen Telfer a few times in Rangers youth team he never really stood out for me compared to Darren Ramsay and Andy Murdoch who played at the time Telfer not for me but the other two might still have chance.

Yeah your maybe right luigi mate. i don't think ally ever looked confident he had what it takes, maybe a big job too soon. the telfer thing I posted was just a wee idea that maybe would have helped with squad depth.

McCoist had the chance to bring in the young guys but bottled it to go for the Unbeatable season, hence they never got a sniff whilst the auld pals act prevailed!

Forfarger yes know where you are coming from, but what's more important, money off the books or promotion , yes agree about Shiels who is a player I rate, hopefully NI manager picks him .

Brian p both are important mate, the way we are still losing money every month is quite bad, I agree with you 100% about the 3 said players, I like all three. it was just a rumour I heard mate, that's all.

Forfarger, see where your coming from, but I know I'm going to be slated for saying this I don't think the money issue is as bad as what people think!
MW will know he cannot afford to let those three go, especially if nothing else happens in this window, the most important thing is getting up this season, and we will.

I sympathise with every player that was at Ibrox under McCoist and McDowall because the bold Ally was totally and utterly clueless. We are seeing now from Law and to a lesser extent from Shiels, the quality that they have, when they are playing for a quality coach.

I don't blame McCoist, any Rangers man given the opportunity to manage the team would most likely jump at the chance. I blame Smith, he was too much 'jobs for the boys' that he didn't think of the future and all McCoist saw during his previous time at the Club was a Regime that consistently threw money at signings.

Smith's loyalty to McCoist has cost us dear just as his previous loyalty to players that were over the hill cost us ten in a row.
