I'm guessing MW is hedging his bets, he knows we won't get everyone we're going in for so he's keeping as many irons in the fire as possible.

If we get all the midfielders we're in for right now, we may have around half the midfielders Celtic have.

Niko Kranjcar would be another excellent signing though, really good quality player.

Personally I'm a little underwhelmed by this one. Decent player but not getting any younger and is a bit of a journeyman. Also, I don't see his wages being cheap and we need to convince him to leave NY for Scotland. There are better alternatives on our doorstep imo.

The likes of Barton and Kranjcar would be sensational signings for Rangers at this stage in our revival.

Let's not forget - that only 1-2 years ago, we had boys like Ian Black running about Ibrox thinking he was something. Not only that - we were being linked with recruiting players like Ali Crawford and Kevin McHattie when McCall was in charge.

We've come a long way in a short space of time - and to be linked with players of their calibre it can only be viewed as a huge positive in terms of what's going on in the background with King and co also.

Kranjcar would be Good he was one of QPR's bright sparks during their relagated season and at 31 he can still offer us a lot I just worry about the players wages but if we get him he would be a good addition to the gers squad.

Nico has always been a cracking player, he was amazing at Portsmouth and spurs. Only 31 aswell I reckon we'll get a good few years out of him if this deal does happen.

Niko Kranjcar was a very very good technical player in the EPL and would be fantastic for us! I agree with the poster its great to see Rangers linked with this calibre of player again! WTP.
