I can't see this happening. He is a good player but his career is littered with fall outs with fellow players, coaches etc. He just doesn't come over as a Warburton type player!

If we are signing characters like Barton then I believe we would be willing to sign Osvaldo if it was a possibility. Guy is no saint but he has undoubtedly got talent.

Look at it this way, If I had to choose players in their prime, today, between El Hadji Diouf, Lafferty, Osvaldo, I'd take Osvaldo all day long.

El Hadji Diouf may have possessed the most talent once upon a time but the guy was the moral equivalent of a re-used tampon. Osvaldo is just a guy with a nasty streak but he is not on the same dirt bag level as what Diouf was.
