Heard that Grant Hanley could be the final peice to complete the puzzle, boy is quality and a player I think we need, Rangers being his previous club and playing for our youth academy for 2 years helps a lot, think everyone would be in open arms if he was to return, trouble that it would take a bit of coinage as Blackburn have just rejected 2 Newcastle bids,

Can't see Hanley happening at all. 2nd Newcastle bid was 4.5million and he is on 14k a week at the moment. He won't go for less than 6mill and 25k per week, not the market we can shop in.

Basically, Hanley would cost our whole transfer budget that was mentioned before we made a signing, at least, and that is just the transfer fee before considering wages.

To summarise, this will not happen.

Not a chance Newcastle having to pay big money to get him simply won't happen and for that money quoted surely there is better out there for Newcastle to buy.

Got to say, this is a pretty ridiculous rumour considering sky sports say the player will cost a minimum of £6m.

Not for me thanks. I'd be happy with Mariappa but not Hanley. The fact that he is a Scotland regular says much.
