Frank mcparland walked by us going in the main doors at Ibrox today with 3 other guys, we were all positive that one of the guys looked like the leicester striker ulloa, we'll find out soon enough, thought joey barton was by far one of our better performers against burnley today, very good range of passing and hardly wasted a ball, without question he'll be a terrific signing for us, kranjcar looked well off the pace today and looked well short of match fitness, our defence badly needs sorting out but I'm sure the magic hat knows that and will fix it out, must be honest, the step up in class showed today.

Much would ulloa cost?

Leicester have Ulloa valued at £15m, don't think we'd ever spend over the £1.5m mark for a player.

He has just rejected a move to Swansea I doubt we could afford to pay more than what he offered and I doubt he would leave the EPL to join the SPL.

Good Player would score for fun up here but he's got a number of clubs looking at him and unless its a loan Deal we won't be able to afford him.

Was standing out there as well it was Bradley Orr the football agent.

Warbs15, I was at the game today as well, totally agree that Barton was head and shoulders above everyone else in a gers shirt! I never actually had him down as such an accomplished player! Thought it was all bravado on his part! However, the burnley fans showed how much they appreciated him at every chance today, which speaks volumes!

Without trying to be negative tho, as u pointed out niko looked very rusty in that company (really disappointed as I believe he's our class act) keirnan's distribution is nothing short of amateur (I've played with junior defenders who would pass him off the park! ) Gilks only shows just how well we fits our style of play! Waggy isn't even nearly as effective out wide as through the centre.

Despite hill giving away the pen and being at fault for 2nd goal! He never hides! will be a great addition next to wilson.

I think Halliday, Barton, McKay (just) and Rossiter got pass marks today but the rest were horrible. I'm hoping it's the kick up the RS they need but for me as much as I like Krancjar against better opposition he looks like a luxury player. I think we will be more effective with Barton, Rossiter and Halliday in the centre.
Millers movement and work rate is great but his finishing is poor, Waghorn is another kris Boyd and in the sense that he can rack the goals up against the inferior teams but I'm yet to be convinced he will score against the Sheep, Tims or Jat tarts with his limited ability.
I hope I'm wrong but after seeing a Gers team who have already played 5 games looking so far off the pace against an average Premiership side who are still way off match fitness and sharpness pretty much destroy us I have to admit concern for campaign ahead.
Hopefully we can get a good ch in and we react in right manner to today's setback.
Predicting Gers 2 Hamlton 1 next aWeekend

ScottyGDF - good comments. Barton showed a
Lot of good skill and covered the back four regularly, however same as this time last year our problems were with the quick ball straight through the middle of the defence.
We are slow all over the park none more than krancjar who got caught in possession half a dozen times. Waghorn can't beat a man, mckay doesn't know how or doesn't want to take on the last man, we had no one able to offer any danger to Burnley. However Rossiter and o'halloran look
class. Dodoo jury still out, we never created anything for him. Miller, workhorse, no end result.
Halliday OK, Wallace couldn't get forward, he better get used to that! The rest were (and I'm trying to be nice) mediocre.
Worrying times bears. I hope MW and DW can see what needs sorting because the rest of the s
SPL are rubbing their hands at the moment!

agree with W15th match summary Barton was our best player today and should be a great signing - rossiter also looked good and I hope the Warbs considers starting him and Barton.

Nikko looked off the pace today and will take time to get his match sharpness as he hasn't played much football last 6 months but will still be a good player for us. Good to see Harry come in and put in a shift and I thought hodson looked solid too. I much prefer waggy through middle as he drifts out the game on the wing I'd play MoH or Windass wide with makay on the other wing and bench miller.

Centre half and centre fwd def still required

In Warbs we trust.

Warbs15, agreed regarding Bartons performance but I must of missed. or not heard about the sighting of Ulloa (spelling), which is strange considering my old man uses the marble staircase to access his seat and he would of said something had he seen the same.

However, I hope you're correct and my da was just pissed and couldn't see.

What is obviously from today is that we need a commanding centre back with pace.

It wasn't Ulloa, he played the full 90mins last night against PSG in the States.

Plus he is on about 40k a week.

CDC, it looked like ulloa mate as I said in my op, none of us were 100% on it but it did look very much like him, fair enough if some others have cleared this one up with their info as its not him, I was only posting this to see if other bears had maybe noticed him or NOT as the case may be, cheers!

Ulloa was part of the Leicester squad that played PSG yesterday.

I think you will find Ulloa is on NOTHING like 40k per week! SOme folk on here don't have a clue what most of the players ion the EPL are being paid. Only the top4/ 6 are paying big money. Most of the Spurs squad earn less than 40k p/ w. Leicester will not be paying anything like that for him. Anyhoo he certainly will not be coming to Ibrox either.

Maybe we are buying Alloa. 😀😀😀Yesterday would have done us the world of good. Wee reality check. Shows the level we must aspire to. Remember our last 3 games were practically against glorified Junior sides, to playing a team just about to kick off in the EPL. definitely need another centre half. The only thing with Hill, is that he looks over it! I also think we have many players with great movement, getting into space and getting chances, but our finishing is poor. We need an out n out striker, even just to throw on for a plan b.

yesterday was a reality check and quite worrying any team who are prepared to press from the front makes us run out of ideas i'm just glad burnley is the best we'll play this season tav once again showed why he's had so many teams kranjcar was either unfit or uninterested barton one of the best on the park rossiter impressive aswell think were in for a kevin keegan season we just nd to score more than we concede.

Sebrofg. Are you referring to Bradley orr the 33yr old centre back who played for Burnley qpr etc. He retired last season. Can't find anything about him been an agent anywhere. I hope he's not coming out of retirement.

I hate being negative but with the strike force the other lot have coupled with our defence knowing we can only be beat 3 times 4 times tops next season if we are to have a chance at 55 warbs must get better quality defence into our team.

Bil72 the best and most rational assessment I've seen on here regarding the state of our team. A week ago the usual contributors had us winning the league. get real were poor in key positions. goalie centre half and centre forward and btw Tarvernier is a liability at full back. wake up and smell the Lillie's were not very strong.

That result should emphasise that Warbs may, or may not totally understand what it takes to win a title, I hope he does, we can't carry on with no defence, not one player in our backline would have got anywhere near to Walters defense, none, not even his reserve side, Wilson was good with Weir helping him, then he deteriorated beyond belief, ending in him going from Liverpool to hearts, ? Says it all, I worry that the gaffer doesn't do defense, celtic will attack us early and fast, they won't forget Hampden, they will know how to play against us, so might Aberdeen, hearts etc, not being negative, just trying to be honest, if any of my posts ever get posted, I think DW has to sit down with Warbs and tell him Rangers have always had a strong spine and top defence, maybe asking Walters advice on defending wouldn't be a bad idea, bit overreacting I know. But we could be brought down very quickly in SPL, these teams know what is required, Saturday will be crucial
Tommy.
