Apparently RFC have raised an action against SD for £4 million (+) damages and annulment of the contract.

Rangers are suing Mr Green, Mr Ahmad, Mr Stockbridge, Mr Llambias, Sports Direct and Mr Ashley in the Court of Session in Edinburgh.

Rangers hope to recover a total of £4,106,470.83 from the action. They also want a civil judge to declare the Partnership Marketing Agreement void.

Im guessing the 4 mil will be a bargaining chip, with the overall outcome being getting the retail contract torn up.

I think it looks like an attempt to get Ashley to walk away and cut all ties. If he gets dragged through the courts AGAINIT will look pretty bad especially after the last time with his zero hour contracts. I recon we would have a good chance of winning considering his track record in front of a judge.

Club was valued and sold back then for £1 because of Debt structure, totally different. Interesting to see this action move forward.

HMRC leaked sensitive details about RFC leaving SDM unable to sell the club. Lloyds Bank then forced the sale to CW.

Both protagonists should get their erky perkies sued, so they should.

That my point. all who have been involved in tarnishing our team should be brought to justice and i mean everyone of those charlatans.
Fd why is it totally different. a rip off artist is the same no matter what hat they are wearing etc etc. our previous directors are as guilty as Whyte and Green and should be in the dock getting their just rewards. let's be honest we have been ripped off by our boards for many years and for some reason some of them are still bloody there? are we blind? or just plain stupid.

This isn't as good news as it first appears.

We didn't intend to take the action at this point, Ashleys lawyers have forced our hand by obtaining a court order for release of documents.

In an idea world we would have continued to build case until we were ready to proceed.

This is our one and only shot at this. Just hope our lawyers barely better than his.

Even if it seems clear cut to us, the law is an ass. Also justice and the law are not always the same thing.

It has everything to do with the retail contract read the bbc article Rangers have also requested it be annulled the 4+ million is for lost revenue.
