6 goals in 43 matches last season. Doesn't sound like the answer.

Not impressed by this and flop senderos.

Agreed mr nice, If championship/ top league one striker is our price range then there's definitely a better option out there imo but at the end of the day all back whoever the magic hat brings in

In Warbs We Trust!

Watched garner as I stay in Preston . when not watching rangers I watch them. his strike partner was injured most of last season who I think he missed. he scored 25 goals year before. he's a bit like Naismith think he would do well if we sign him . gets stuck in never gives up.

Did Andy little tell u he is like Naismith or did u come up with the comparison yourself? Not trying to be wide, just a coincidence.

Mr Nice:

Andy Halliday - avg 3 goals per season since 2010
Scored 10 in 48 for us last season

Martyn Waghorn - avg 4 goals per season since 2010
Scored 28 in 36 for us last season

James Taverner - has scored 5 goals since 2010
Scored 15 in 50 for us last season

Compare:
Joe Garner - avg 12 goals per season since 2010 and 25+ goals in 13/ 14 and 14/ 15 seasons. If you believe he is no the answer then you are indefinitely looking for a multi millions pound striker which is out of our reach. He would be more than capable.

I like how people are only focusing on last seasons performance for him. not the 27 goals the season before or the 24 the season before that.

Nobody tells me what to say pal . never knew he voiced an opinion, stayed in Preston 28 years my lad plays for under 13,s . gave an opinion as this is a rumour site if he wasn't good enough I'd say . i think he is.

Can we not let the guy sign and get out on the pitch before we slate him. at least wait til he's played a few games before we write him off. i can still remember striker called Ally something getting told to "get tae f@£k@" and i think he went on to score a few goals.

Warbs always mentions the point about adding value on/ off the pitch - he's obviously seen something in Joe Garner that he feels merits a potential £1 million outlay.

Apart fae Gostomski it must be agreed that in terms of transfers, Warbs, DW and McParland haven't done too bad.

Garner will score goals, OK so he didn't score loads last season but the previous 2 season he scored shed loads, he also scores an array of different types of goals, will b a good signing.

U will never please the doom and gloom merchants tho.

My word. Watch Garner play before making judgements. There's this handy thing called YouTube, you might have heard of it. Watch some Garner videos. The boy oozes talent and class. Get him in a Rangers jersey asap please.

Looking at the video posted on DR the guy has a head for goal and boy could we be doing with someone we could flight the ball into instead of constantly trying to thread it through the eye of a needle. Something different and needed.

Bilbo what is this YouTube you speak of? The amount of valuable information on this site continues to leave me in a state of shock and awe. Any player can look good in a highlights reel.

Teddy- I can see your point but many rangers fans are saying the three player's you mention aren't good enough (not me by my he way) . What I would say is these player's are younger and have more time to develop, whereas garner is approaching 29 and is what he is. I don't debate he done well in league 1 but he hasn't performed well at a higher level throughout his career.

At end of day our problem isn't the amount of money rather the extremely narrow talent pool we are limiting ourselves to.
We should have been concentrating on foreign markets and the lower leagues of Italy, Spain and Germany- where transfer fees are far more realistic. Instead we are looking for bargains in a market we can't afford.

Mr Nice, there are a few videos. Why don't you have a look. There's a little box at the top of the site that says 'Search'. Try and stick his name in there and see what happens. These are no so much "highlights" videos, they're videos of Garner banging them in left right and centre. One includes the best goal I've ever seen. The boy the score and wants to play for Rangers. He had me at Hello Hello.

P. S You're Welcome.
