I've read a lot about offers for tav is there any real truth in them I like him going forward that's it if we could get 1 maybe 2 mil I'd take it all day long and invest it back in our defence.

The team that were in for tav apparently bought another RB for over 1 mil so doubt that they will go for tav also.

normally i would agree with you on tav but burnley game aside where the whole team didn't perform i think tavs had a very decent start to the season and was my MOTM for the dundee game mainly for his defensive work.

1 maybe 2 million u will eat your words in a year or two when we take between 4 and 8 millioin depending on how we do in the league. one of our best players last season can't believe there are bears out there that don't want him here or are willing to settly for pennys for him.

Tav has to stay. plays a massive part in a lot of our goals. that's hard to replace especially for a rb.

don't believe Tav was ever in danger or interested in going anywhere certainly not Turkey.

Tavernier is arguably our best defensive player and he adds significantly to our goals and assists. Defensively he is at least as good as Wallace but little is said of Wallace's defensive frailty. Our problems stem from our centre backs and the historic lack of quality defensive midfield players. With Halliday still deployed in a defensive midfield role that still remains an issue but objectively, when Crooks is fit that problem will be resolved.

Warburton said there has been no contact for any rangers players, so make of that what you will.

Think it was the media in scotland trying to cause disharmony as per.

I was one who would have taken £2.5m for Tav had it been offered purely because I felt he can't defend but that opinion has very much changed as the last couple of games he has looked solid and doesn't seem to go gallavanting up the pitch as often, since then he's actually seemed like a good defender.

TAVS going nowhere guys!

If we do sell tav I think we should go after hearts RB Callum Paterson. He would be a good replacement and he is only 21.

Tav does seem to have stepped up for me in the past couple of games. Will see for myself against Motherwell this weekend but in a season or two I agree he has the potential to be a 5 mill player, so hang on to him.

One of the best players we've got for 1-2 mill. absolutely mental.

Get Tav back on freekick duties, are you listening Joey.

tom42 I agree with you on the tav issue obviously but I don't think we are short of defensive mids barton, rossiter and crooks all play in that position and rossiter for me is one of the first names on the team sheet.

Lee Wallace is our best defensive player and arguably one of our best players. Hence player of season etc etc. Tav is a great player. Scored some good goals in a Mickey Mouse league. Surprised Foderingham didn't get a few. I agree Tav has worked on his defending and has looked better the last few games. However, I have seen his weaknesses exploited and if we were playing better teams, we would've shifted more goals versus well, Hamilton and Dundee. I fear if we play Tav against that mob, we will get hammered. Not all his fault but need to be more defensive against that mob. Hodson. In fact I would go 5 at back, 3 CHs and then allow Tav and Wallace to play wing back. But MW is a one formation guy so I'm not looking forward to it tbh.

Didn't rip us the last time as Tav was played in a more reserved role.

Let's judge our player's over a season rather than a few games.

Tav at the very least has earned a shot at the spl. I don't get the fans that want him dropped or sold. If the Turks want to pay silly money then fair enough.

Media in Scotland is part of the problem - every time there is a decent player in Scotland they do their best to unsettle them. We should be desperately trying to keep talent not trying to convince them they are too good for us.

James Stirling, I agree 100%. As soon as Crooks is fit I reckon we will have the best defensive midfield in Scottish Football. Ineed, as things look at the moment with the likely striker and defender signings we will be difficult to beat by anyone!

BBW if Wallace is arguably our best player then I fear for us big time he is shocking defensively and worse than tav but gets away with it because he is captain and stayed for the journey IMHO.

Nope. Can't agree with that. Wallace runs the full length of the park for 90mins. What an engine that guy has. He's not invincible and has the odd mistake. IMHO he is class. True athlete and professional. Aye agree that Tav deserves his shot in SPL. If he just learns when to bomb forward and when to hang back. He could be best RB in SPL no doubt.

also Wallace is the best left back in Scottish football including his defending gannet ya bunnet.
