Mark Warburton to raid a few Premiership teams for some loan deals

Someone was saying that there is a CB coming from Chelsea on loan and that Harry Winks from Tottenham has been linked yet again

I do reckon that Dave King needs to show at least 1m for a decent centre back before its too late and the top 3 is out our sights

I do reckon that it is highly imperative Rangers are part of a European competition, whether it be Champions League or Europa

Being part of Europe will then allow Rangers to attract some quality overseas and it also will give a bit of financial clout

If we fail to deliver top 3 which I reckon is a realistic target, then the football club fails the fans and we have to start the season all over again without being involved in Europe, which people now is quite boring without European nights!

1million on a defender can be the difference between qualifying for Europe or not?

I really want the club to spend money on a good preferably young defender but I can't see that happening. I try to stay positive as much as possible so I won't lose sleep if we don't get one.

Doesn't matter if you spend 25 mil on one all depends on the season ahead look at Niko yet to get a grips of it (ano its lack of match fitness) but a do agree we need 2more cb and a TALL striker we have the width just need that box player is peso.

Nothing has changed. We needed an imposing cb last year and we needed a powerful striker also. We failed to buy either in the summer. We now need to see this season as a transition year in which we adapt to premier league football.

McGregoer did not fit with Warburton's style of player and in any event he was deployed more as a full back than a centre back.

My disappointment is that we don't appear to have been looking overseas and historically we have found excellent players in particular in Italy and Denmark. I don't accept this crap that it can take an overseas player months to gel but that English based players hit the deck running. It is down to the quality of the player and his ability to adapt. If you look at Warburton's acquisitions this summer only Rossiter has adapted to the team and worryingly, most of the other are injured and that questions their fitness and the somewhat odd tour to the USA!

It also brings into question why on earth we signed Hill!

Allowably is right. Nothing has changed. We needed a quality centre back, or two last season and we needed a Hately type striker. We are still waiting!

In terms of a centre back, I can't see us getting a decent one for £1m, but we could have had one for £2.5 - £3m and that for me questions why we have just spent £1.5m on a striker that from first impressions won't be any different to what we already have.

The next few weeks will be interesting. I don't expect to see King spend any of his own money, he is as full of bull as Barton. As for Barton he really needs to step up his game and control the game against Cetic and we need nine points from our next three games or we will be languishing mid table with a team full of chancers! We already saw what happens when you play geriatric neverbeens in the game against Kilmarnock with Hill. I never thought I would see the day when Boyd beat a Rangers Centrehalf for speed and for Hill to then have the audacity to come out and comment in the press is a joke. Hill should be no where near Ibrox and if we don't see some quality from Barton then he might as well pack his bags and bugger off as well.

Tom 42

We are missing Holt as we need a bit more energy and tempo in midfield and a CB is top priority.

Too many people live in the past. Joe Garner has played one game and everyone has forgotten about him, he's good in the air and is a physical presence, you don't need to be 6ft odds to be a presence and good in the air.

Middle of the park hasn't been up to scratch, need more energy and then a creative influence, also need to work hard to win the second/ third ball because if someone misses out on a tackle and we're too high up the park we're suceptible to a run back. Given the goals we've conceded could have been avoided, Hill getting turned by Boyd, Wallace diving into a challenge when Crawford scored, Mc Donald not being marked, its all things that can be eradicated.

Team vs Celtic would be: Fod, Tav, Wilson, Kiernan, Wallace, Barton, Rossiter, Windass, Forrester, McKay, Miller. Maybe leave Windass out and waghorn/ garner will play some part. For me MOH would be decent because Celtic seem to play very narrow, guys end product is questionable at the moment but i think that's down to confidence. I'm sure MW has some plan up his sleeve. at least i'd hope so.

If it's a Centre Half from Chelsea on loan, you can imagine we'll be taking someone from their under 21 team.

Jake Clarke Salter or someone of that age group would be likely. Doubt that's going to make any difference to the defence. We get linked with Chelsea young guns every year and next to nothing comes of it.

If it was Senderos or a loan at this point, think I'd take a chance with the experienced 31 year old who played regularly at a much higher level of division than what the team is playing in now.

mcgregor was hopeless he's at his level. matt miazga would be more probable than Clarke salter imo.

We've always been linked with Chelsea youngsters as far back as I can remember and we never seem to bring any in.

They seem to go abroad to elsewhere in Europe, mid/ bottom level EPL team or Championship team.

Linked with the next Lampard, Terry or Drogba is no good to us at the moment. We need quality and experience at the back. Miazga would be great but thinking a Dom Ball quality player is the most likely. Not in the squad but features regularly enough for their reserves.
