I didn't post last night. what I'm about to post now fellow bears because I thought it was way off the mark and just one of these stupid rumours because our club and manager are going through a bit of a hard time at present and as everyone knows on here I totally believe in warbs and weir and what they're doing at our club which will of course take time.

anyway I'll share with you all what I was told last night by a very good friend of gordon dalziel, he told me billy davies was turning down the st. mirren manager's job today at some point and that davies wants the rangers job and no other job in scottish football.

davies is thought of very highly by 2 of our directors at rangers and is willing to wait and see how things pan out at ibrox between now and christmas as if anything happens to warburton, which I personally don't think will, he is very confident he'll get the nod to become the new rangers manager.

only passing on info I was told guys by mr. dalziels pal, I do know that dave king is a massive fan of billy davies, we'll just have to wait and see, I rate davies but I rate warbs and 100% behind him, in warbs I trust.

Im also 100% behind warbs and weir WTF. We r only 7 games in and being back in premiership was always gona b tough. let's back the management to the hilt.
Davies has proved himself in england however is, i believe meant to b very militant etc. if he is a future gers manager then i'd back him like any other however it surely must b some way down the line. FIRB.

Well posted W15 - your never far off the mark and I know you speak highly of our present manager - wheels and cogs are always turning somewhere so you never know what lies ahead - Warbs was the right man for the job but he must bring everyone together and show improvement fairly quickly or your rumour may well be founded -.

Davies is damaged and has never recovered from an unfortunate association with TS. His appointment would be the beginning of the end for DK.

Naw it ain't happening and never will.

If Warbs goes it will be Alex Neil, Mark Hughes, Derek Mcinnes, Alex McCleish or the return of Sir Walter of Smith as interim manager.

We will go English based.

Davies didn't come across at all well when asked about the Rangers job in a radio interview last year, he almost spoke in disdain as if that job was beneath him.

Warbs15, i know that you have put up posts that have had some truth to them, but in this instance i must ask; does your mate drink in the same pub as davies? that means any pub, davies has got a problem that will eventually lead to a new liver.

i thought years ago davies would be good for rangers, but after reading about his demons, i wouldn't want him near our club. the guy has got a big problem with the amber nectar, so its a big no from me, and in this instance i hope your info is wrong, sorry mate.

Mark Hughes, why o why would we want him? Or more to the point why would he want to come to us? 1/ 8 wages no money to spend. yawn yawn yawn. be sensible, we are a huge club with no money and little going for us with the exception of a decent stadium and a potentially world class set up for youth system, these boys want instant results something sadly we can't give, please get real to where we are and where will be for the next few years.

for talkings sake warbs does i think we should have look at tommy wright he gets as much as he can out a average st johnstone he's a massive rangers fan not saying give him the job but at least ask to speak to him right now the domestic scene is our priority and he has experience of that.

Colshygers, tommy wright is a decent manager and doing really well at st. johnstone but as I stated in op I rate our current management team and believe it's way too early to judge them now! One of my good mates wants big john (yogi) hughes as our next manager if anything were to happen to warbs, he's always rated big hughes and likes his style of football, he also thinks big yogi is very tactically sound, he has a point as big hughes is a good manager imo also although I'm more than happy with our manager and at the end of the season is when to judge him, get right behind him and the team for the full season! !

At one time I would have been happy with billy Davies but not now came across on radio interview arrogant not for me.

warbs we should get right behind the manager but if he keeps playing 4-3-3 to our detriment then he won't last the his contract.

all those talented midfielders and only three midfield spots.

playin 3 against a celtic midfield 5!

this is naïve from warbs and he shouldn't need to be told he is wrong as its plain for everyone to see.

I love his style of play but defence needs better cover and our best players are midfielders this season and w have wingers so why not play 4 in the middle and still play the same style?

I believe Warburton is naive, I believe he has been caught in the headlights with the intensity that comes with the job, I believe he is still on a learning curve (and it had better be quick) and I believe he will have to change his championship tactics for something far more suiting the SPhelL. However, I would have him in a heartbeat over Davies, an arrogant wee man with no recent track record and nothing to suggest that he is the stature of manager we would need.

28 Sep 2016 19:33:39
As I stated earlier my big mate really rates big john (yogi) hughes as a good manager and really thinks he would make a good, future rangers manager and would want hughes to be considered for the rangers manager's job if anything did happen to warburton, I myself rate hughes and always have done although I'm more than happy with warbs and weir, a wee hypothetical question here to my fellow bears, how highly do you rate big yogi hughes as a manager and do you think he's rangers material as a future manager?

14.) 29 Sep 2016
29 Sep 2016 20:14:49
W15 he wouldn't b my 1st choice IF MW wer to go but i know for sure he gets his players to run thru brick walls for him.

15.) 29 Sep 2016
29 Sep 2016 20:55:16
Of course he's not Rangers material, not even close. In days gone by we would have said he is a decent trainer, but he's got precious few modern-day skills to bring to a club like ours.

Wee-ecky, they said the same about big alex mcleish and he was a good rangers manager, imo there's a lot of similarities between alex mcleish and john hughes in their managerial styles,2 very similar characters!
