I've just had some information from a good mate of mine who used to work as a rep for puma UK. He received this info from a guy who he used to work with, while he worked for puma. The guy told him that that he's been told there's no chance of rangers and puma continuing to work together and this will definitely be the last year, if it even lasts 'till the end of the season. This means we're leaving puma as our kit manufacturers a year early. He also told me that he has it on good authority that rangers have not only held talks with under armour about replacing puma but new balance are also well in the running with preliminary talks haven taken place with them also. He also said both adidas and nike were watching the situation with interest. Just thought i would share with my fellow bears what i'd been told. I personally would much prefer either adidas or nike as our new kit manufacturers.

How would this impact on Ashley fiasco and the prospect of being better placed financially? Would hope any such change helps in that department.

Sports direct and puma are in this together as mike ashley also has a large stake in puma. We definitely need shot of the both of them. Was just thinking that our 3 year deal with 32Red as our shirt sponsors, is up at the end of the season. I wonder if they'll give us more money, to stay and sign another deal with them or will it be a new shirt sponsor as well as a new kit manufacturer.

Your source is talking out his arse puma are considering court proceddings against DK and rangers for breach of contract as are 32 red and no kit manufacturer will touch us until ashley is gone why would a manufacturer make our strips when we are not selling any? Until ashley is gone its him that has the most influence around the table when negositing a new kit suppler as its only his stores that can sell them he holds all the cards and the fact DK has went quiet in this after intially sayin 12 months ago he wid rid ashley he's no further forward which to me speaks volumes where stuck with ashley for the duration of the contract DK should swallow his pride now and try to make peace with ashley and mayby negotiate a deal which will make them both happy because as it stands were both losing money unfortunatley ashley can afford to and we cant.

You're incorrect as that's what the court hearing at the beginning of December is about. Rangers ie. dave king and the rangers board of directors believe very strongly, that sports direct and puma are in breach of contract as ashley's sports direct stores shouldn't have been selling anything with the rangers badge on it when rangers regained the rights for the badge by paying back the 5million quid loan.

For the record slydog, you say that sports direct are the ONLY ones that can sell the rangers kit, you're talking shite because jd sports are selling it which again rangers are very unhappy about. So before you accuse anybody's source of talking out their arse, as you put it, check the facts first! The one that's talking out their arse, is a lot closer to you than you think!

So what's your point W15 or supercooper - what's your mate saying about his ex employer and what his mate saying about his ex employer? Isn't this the same thing you said months ago but now, your adding 2 mates into it? Hardly makes a, rumour?

About 3 different times you've posted this crap, different contact every time. I suppose if u keep making rubbish up something will come through. Was it not a guy in greaves last time?

Another thing regarding the kit deal i know for a fact is very possibly, likely to happen. The rangers directors are toying with the idea of making their own kits, until the court case, regarding the kit, is decided, which of course they're extremely confident will be in their favour. This could take a bit of time and by making their own kits it means the club will be making the money they ought to, as the fans will buy it in their droves as long as they know the club is making the money from the sales. Then we can eventually tie up a deal with a new kit manufacturer.

"Make our own kit"? Just proves how much u haven't got a clue about what you post on here there's no money to be made for any club in the world making there own kit, as regards to strips bein sold in JD without rangers permission proves that DK has no say in rangers retail deal atall puma and ashley are sittin on thousands of unsold stock which rangers buy bk at the end of the season a clause that in the retail contract so the boycott of strips is futile anyway were stuck with ashley for 7 years the sooner u and dk realise this the better.

And its through ashley that jd and watever other outlet is selling the strips which was what I meant he decides who, why, where in this deal.

Listen guys i'm only sharing information what i've heard with fellow bears. Slydog, dk is the guy who said a few months ago, that there was a very strong possibility, that we would make our own kit, IF puma maintained their stance, in working side by side with SD, instead of trying to work with the club. As dk put it, in a separate deal, ie. WITHOUT SD! I think dk and the rangers board of directors, with all due respect to yourself, are in the know, to what they can and can't do! They know TOTALLY what's going on!

12.) 02 Nov 2016
02 Nov 2016 09:24:35
It's you that's not got a clue slydog, the guy is only passing on info he heard, as for make peace with Ashley, what drugs are you taking?
Fatman is a disgrace, don't you know the board tried that and got nowhere, that person is quite happy to sit back and count the cash he's took from rangers and until that bastard is gone rangers will continue to be held back.

02 Nov 2016 09:27:48
Couple of things to be corrected on here, firstly Rangers kits can be sold in most sports outlets, but Ashley will still get his 49% cut. On top of the 49% that Ashley owns of Rangers retail, he also charges for storage and distribution and a host of other charges, which is why RFCs 51% is then depleted to next to nothing. The deal with Puma will be with Rangers Retail and so the buy back clause actually effects both RFC and Ashley.

14.) 02 Nov 2016
02 Nov 2016 10:50:26
mike ashley owns jd sports aswell if you pay by card in some of their stores ie the one in silverburn the screen on the card machine says sports direct.

I really do hope your right in your op supercooper it would signal a way out this mess but just can't see us getting away from this ashley contract its costing us millions plus court fees and dk is no doubt trying but it seems no further forward sinse his statement in the summer but hope i'm wrong if not then its in rangers interests he swallows his pride and gets round the table with ashley and see if there's wiggleroom these in court battles are costing us dearly its hard enough financially in scotland without a merch deal.

02 Nov 2016 15:39:49
We need a way out this onerous corrupt retail deal asap. i'm sure DK and directors are doing all they can. gutted i cudnt buy ma boy a Gers strip on his birthday recently. I stood firm. any judge in the land can see this deal should never jave been signed as its in the interest of one man only. directors are meant look after the interests of the shareholders etc not just one fat greedy bastard. We will get there Bears. FIRB.

32 red have no grounds to sue rangers are trying to for the issue into to court to bring the matter to a head because whatever amout is awarded to sprts direc will bring the matter to a conclusion and the amount awarded cannot be a huge amount owing to to the lack of sales up to now and this was the reason rangers repaid the loan to pave the way for this to happen.

Hi just a hiepathetical question we triggered the get out clause about a year now? . So still have at least 6 to go? Now if we as rangers supporters don't buy any merchandise in that time but the board have to at the end of the season still pay sports direct / puma fee for unpurchased stock how much dies that equate to? X 6 then can wee as supporters not get together raise the money and rid ourselves if this parasite for good? Only a suggestion don't know if I'm way off mark but sick of this and want my club back.

19.) 03 Nov 2016

puma and Ashley have no hope in he'll of winning their so called court cases.

20.) 04 Nov 2016
04 Nov 2016 17:00:57
Baillie42 let's wait and see what comes from the court case, as maybe it will be sorted out then, either way dk must be sure he will beat the fat chap again or he wouldn't have let things go thiis far imo, ashey might have good lawyers, but so will dk, anybody that looks at these contracts would know they are lop sided, and don't favour the club, nor the share holder, fat ashley is like wanae they fat greedy wanes in a cake shop. He wants that cake, oh and that one, oh and one for tonight, and one to eat as he makes his way home, lol, i wonder if ashley was like that as a wane?
