Hooly78,you will maybe be able to shed some light on this mate. A good friend of mine from northern ireland told me tonight, that he guarantees me, that rangers WILL sign kyle lafferty on an initial 6 month loan deal in january, from norwich city. He also assures me the deal will become a permanent one in the summer. Have you heard anything regarding this mate?

On the positive side he is true blue and has decent scoring record. On negative side we had legal action, he has betting charge pending and is bit of a loose canon.

Think we pass on this one.

guy isn't good enough wasn't then isn't now . reminds me of samaras! when he is on his game he is good but 90 percent of the time he isn't on his game and a loose cannon.
IMO he wasn't good enough first time and won't be good enough if he came back .
please don't sign him.

Hope so, we need a striker with experience.

Why would any club guarantee a player a full time contract after they have basically done a 6 month trial? Surely, the initial period would be to guage whether he was good enough.

Haven't heard a thing mate. But I'd be surprised though.

Agree cuillin more chance of loan with a view to a deal in summer no guarantees. I for one reckon lafferty is what we need in the respect that he would add abit of fight to the team, remains to be seen if he would score 25 goals a season though! To many pushovers in the side at present.

Charlie mulgrew might disagree that laugherty is no pushover 😉.

5 in 25 for Sion.1 in 19 for Norwich.2 in 14 for Rizespor and 1 in 6 for Birmingham. I must have a different idea about a good strike rate for a striker. oh aye, and he walked out on us before.

Laugherty could of only dreamed of Sammys career. Come on james. That 10% was goals against us. The latter was in Europe. I'll admit I am a fan of Sammy. To be honest I'd pay kLs taxi to ibrox to sign as long as the invoice had 'the' omitted. No point kicking.

Didn't mention his recent NI form - would take him in a heartbeat. Sure he would appreciate 2nd time round - and he always did well in the big games.

don't agree gers09. the boy wasn't good enough the first time around and was a disgrace to the club with his antics.
his goal ratio for his clubs isn't good enough and wouldn't improve our squad.
pleas for the love of rangers don't sign him, there must be better out there than him.

Naismith, McGregor, Whittaker, LAFFERTY. Scabs for as long as they are alive.

Nah, not for me. Not good enough in any case. No brainer.

would take naisy back in a heartbeat he is a great player . I don't blame anyone for leaving as they are top players with limited years in the game .
I do however think laffetry did more running on the park than anyone else all be it to no avail most of the time . his goal ratio is not a good on and he wasn't a good players for us scored a few important goals but no chance is he good enough to get a second crack at it.

Tbh the way it's going were not going to have a 20 goal a season striker unless Garner gets a consistent run of games in the team. Certainly not saying for a second Lafferty should be brought back but should we not be at least keeping our options open?

Mind bogglin how so called rangers fans can take anymore this garbage n excuses from MW he's pushed barton out the door for speekin his mind what next? he's made us laughin stock in scotland i say draintheswamp and us fans should be doing everythin in our power to get him out NOW why not start protest out side ibrox Ed do you agree on this warburton is bad news for us i wouldn't trust him with one pence never mind january window comin up it has to stop or itl get worse.

{Ed039's Note - I do not agree in the slightest, and a protest ..... I'll have some of what you're having! The only thing the manager should take the blame for with Barton was signing him in the first place)
