This is total gossip so don't shoot me down, simply putting it out there.

Was at Glasgow Airport today as I'm supplying plant through my work to the contractor carrying out the infrastructure improvements in and around the airport. Was killing time before my meeting and got chatting to a fellow bluenose at airport security. Apparently he was involved in some capacity with tours put on by Michael Mols and Arthur Numan bringing folk from Holland over to Ibrox (never knew they did this) and through it he got to know a few Dutch lads involved at the other end and they keep in touch regularly via FB. Apparently there is a rumour doing the rounds that Frank De Boer is keeping an eye on the managerial situation at Rangers with a view of throwing his hat in the mix should Warbs leave/ get sacked.

Apparently he was a shoe in for a job in the EPL but it fell through and subsequently ended up at Inter (no a bad consolation) . The job didn't work out for him and he was sacked after like 90 days so he's looking for a club to rebuild his reputation and sees gers as a perfect fit.

Like I said at the start, just a story I heard second hand from a total stranger but worth sharing.

There is logic to this as if MW was sacked we would look for a manager who shares the same philosophies as MW as I'm lead to believe the 433 system (old Dutch system according to FIFA 16/ 17 lol) is being taught straight through the academies . like with Ajax.

However, If you were looking for a club to 'rebuild your reputation' would you chose a club with nout to spend?

And would he work for the wage MW is currently on?

Renya, Gio and davie Weir as well as the De Boers will be linked at some point but it's not worth speculating on.

I heard one better. Walter Smith is good friends with Marcello Lippi who always asks about the gers and manages in China.

They've had a good friendship since the early days and that was evident in the transfer activity within Italian football.

Rangers in my opinion though will keep it British if manager change happens.

Another good pal of Walters is Pelligrini who sold us Seb Rozenthal all those years ago and what ever happens Walters connections may be our best hope.

He's always been my first choice if warbs goes.

Hilarious stuff guys, we get rid of our managers because his style doesn't work and replace him with a manager with the same ethos and less experience? Really?

RFCinfinity, i'm a fan of our manager warbs, but don't get your angle when you say frank de boer as a manager has LESS experience than mark warburton. Not true my friend, frank de boer has been a manager a good bit longer than warbs has, and he's also about 8 years his junior!

Discussed this recently as well as Michael Laudrup, surely through his brothers connections he would be more interested in Rangers than Qatar.

That said these kind of managers want backed, Frank De Boer won't come and work on a shoe string budget, he would want £10m there to spend, which at the moment we cannot provide, maybe when Cashley is gone but not now.

Saying MW is more experienced though is ridiculous as much as I like MW, FDB is a footballing man has been involved his whole life, MW is a city trader who made his money and turned his hobby into a career, he is a man manager but IMO is beginning to show he isn't football manager. He is showing his stubborness or juast plain lack of experience in being unable to actually change anything tactically.

There is no doubt what so ever in my mind that FDB or ML would get more out of the current squad than MW but we simply can't afford or back them right now.

Put it this way I would much rather go into a dressing room at HT 1-0 down with MW there than FDB. 1 will molly coddle you and tell you to work hard and go again in the 2nd half. The other would give you a swift left up the rear and make it quite clear that losing is not an option.

Sometimes Ronny was playing a similar 433 to Rodgers but the difference is a couple of good additions to the squad and the ability to change it if necessary, a good manager can get the best out of underperforming players, broony, rogic, Armstrong and even Izzy and Gordon have all been playing much better under Brendan . Warbola is your Ronny, and you never know de Boer could be your Rodgers.
