I'm told that if Watford lose to Stoke tonight then Mazzarri and his tribe of coaches and staff will be sacked in the next few days and the club will approach Rangers for permission to speak to Warburton.

I must say that this rumour came from a former colleague who is a season ticket holder with both Watford and Rangers and who has decent contacts at both clubs. And Warburton would be the Watford fans' choice.

I don't think he's had a fair crack at the spl. With injuries and Barton and players needing to make the step up and limited finances he's done well so far.

Yes you could say he is stubborn with tactics and building from the back when its possible we lack the expertise to do this but he is at least got us in to 2nd and trying to build a footballing philosophy at the club.

If we can bring in a few better quality players in the next couple of windows and keep following that process. gradually improve the team we should keep getting better obviously would be great to see some young lads coming through also.

We're all entitled to our own opinions, but Warbs / Weir are building for the future. Let's give them time. They're making good progress and will not only challenge for the title soon - they'll give us a conveyer belt of future talent and a sustainable future.

Nobodies about to throw tens of millions at us like in past days! so I, for one, am going to keep supporting what they're doing.

How reliable and good is your source wee-ecky? Not doubting you here mate, just curious! I like yourself enjoy sharing on here, any news or pieces of info I hear, with fellow bears! Heard we're looking at young falkirk left back called gallagher to eventually become the longterm replacement for lee wallace. I think he's only 17 years old! I've heard very good reports on him from a falkirk supporting friend of mine!

Fingers crossed then, he's had his chance. We keep being told "we'll learn from this" but unfortunately he hasn't although most of us have as its glaringly obvious. For some reason warbs can't see it.

Supercooper eleven, my contact's speaking as a fan with a foot in both camps. He's Scottish, a retired journalist, and has lived near Watford for more than 30 years so he hears the gossip now and then. All I can say is it's a strong rumour, but a rumour nonetheless, that's why I put it here.

Warbs and Weir building for the future?
Are you having a laugh?
They can't build a team now. Never mind the future.
We need a team now not the future.
There's only so many times we can listen to, we will learn from it and carry it to the next game. Been here 18 months, and still doesn't know our best 11

I think it's time for them to go.
They have done absolutely nothing to our team.
If we didn't draw with sceptic at Hampden ( let's face it, it was a draw, not a win ) they would have been out in the summer.
Every single summer signing has been a joke.
Add that to the second rate players they bought last year. The results are clear to see.

Get Walter and durrant back to get us on course. 2 proper rangers men.

Not fat mcoist who just wants to bleed us dry.
He should never be allowed back into Ibrox ever again.

Warburton hasn't been given the financial support to help him build for the future. Instead he has needed to replace a pathetically poor squad of players recruited by McCoist by way of free transfers, loanees and lower league players. Add to that the fact that his better signings for the assault on the Premier league are out injured or, in the case of Barton, was forced out of the club after a spat with Barton, no doubt for telling him how crap he was!

Given the same resources as Smith had at his disposal I suspect that Warburton would be every bit as successful as his counterpart at Celtic will be with the resources that he has this disposal.

Souness hit the nail on the head when he said that Warburton needed to be given the financial support by King, otherwise it is going to be a long few seasons ahead of us irrespective of who is our manager!
