This rumour has already been circulating the forums however, I have been party to various conversations (whether you believe it or not) that Red Bull GmbH have indicated they are willing to invest in Rangers. This includes potential stadium naming rights. There are discussions with regards to the exact shareholding percentage that would enable them to circumnavigate UEFA rules regarding dual ownership. Dave King has sounded out various would be investors about selling his stake in Rangers. He has been using a London based firm to look for interested parties that has been holding meetings in a prestigious hotel very close to St Pancreas Station.

{Ed001's Note - why would they need to hold discussions about the percentage required when they already know it? They are owners of two Red Bull branded teams, one in Austria and one in Germany already. Pretty sure they have one in Switzerland as well, but that is off the top of my head so I could be wrong on that one.}

I have heard this too. Heard Red Bull will invest 20million this summer and use rangers as a feeder team for Leipzig. My mates uncle works with Oliver Burkes Dad and he's being lined up for a loan move next summer along with Davie Selke

Sounds like a great idea. Rename the team and stadium and become a feeder club for Leipzig, brilliant.

"My mates uncle works with Oliver Burkes dad" absolute classic! I find this even funnier because I genuinely know his family.

well its a lot a if buts and maybes,

someone explaain what 20 million would actually do for us? no all that much, i know its money but we should be building from bottom up not taking hand outs and being a charity case,

also, RB own a fair amount of teams, if we make europe then us and RB Leizpig can't both be in the CL, what if RB Salbureg occupy the uefa place?

We are onto plumbs, also when ye consider brand management NTL n tennents had sposersed us both as they know the other half won't buy the product, where else paints pavements blue white and red :D

a say we stop dreaming and focus on the team we have at hand Kings doing his best we would be doon the swany if it wasnt for him.

DK has his dream job so I cannot see him readily walking away from Ibrox. We need a nomad and we need it urgently. We are operating financially with one hand tied behind our back. We require major investment in both the short and long term. Easier said than done.

Like it or not our club is going to be feeder club for bigger clubs buying our young promising players so if we could get redbull on board it would be a bonus to us as for naming rights etc we all no the stadium as ibrox and it always will be called that regardless if they change the name.

I just can't see David king walking away unless the job of rebuilding the club is to big for him and he hasn't got the funds and is fed up with Ashley court cases and doesn't want to spend what money he has on fighting threw courts.

king won't sell quite simply ecause he would make a loss on his investment because no one would pay top dollar while still fighting with ashley

BlueBloodGerz We would go down the swanny without King?

This is the guy who was on the board while we went down the double swanny of administration and liquidation without raising a peep.

And voted against the CVA.

On paper Red Bull would be a great partner for Rangers. However, in order for a company to invest- we need to be " investible". With Ashley and the (W) easeldales p*****ng in the bovril at every opportunity - who would want to walk into that. Only way would be for RB to buy out (W) easel bloc shares and also buy our SD retail contract. plus investment in the team. possibly looking a close to £75m - £100m. never going to happen.

rename the stadium and let them invest in that way and maybe a small investment into the club so we can buy 1 or 2 players.
