No, read the whole story, he simply confirms he had a meeting with rangers and says that it doesn't mean he was interviewed about the managers job

Paulo Bento been sacked from Olympiakos, he would be cracking manager for Rangers and don't think he would be out of our reach.

Agree totally Rowatt has won nothing and us still relatively inexperienced as a manager, Not what we need

Nice guy with loads of potential. However, we can't afford another "on the job learning " manager. We need experience, leadership, desire and a passion for winning.

ive heard that pedro is like klopf he likes his team to attack but aslo likes to defend as a team and have every player shutting down the ball so our guys would get better at passing and moving even though they are not too bad at that the now and most importantly they will be defending as a team what we haven't done in a few years

Well that rules pedro caixinha out. You do realise gary rowett has managed more games than caixinha.

apart from alex mccleish nobody on our shortlist has managed a big club so everyones a risky appointment personally i feel ecks time has passed i like gary rowatt done a great job at both burton and birmingham on a limited budget which i feel is how he would be working if he came to us people saying they don't want him because he has won nothing well neither had their manager across the city no matter who comes its going to be a risky appointment

I like Rowett's ideas, he has specific tactics for certain scenarios during a match, how the game is going go scorewise.

hooley, mark hughs has managed more games than both of them put together but that doesn't make him a better manager also pedro has taken a team into cncacaf final (sorry bout the spelling)
which is the equivalent to the champions league not as big name teams in it but very high quality!

now let's be fair if we got a top top manager that would cost us the same as brenda costs them that money would come off of our transfer budget, which isn't massive as it is.

we need to get behind whoever the board appoint as anything else will harm our great club

Time to face facts - we are not a BIG team anymore - the football world has moved on and doesn't care too much for the good old days.

We are the proverbial big fish in a wee pond - unless we pay ridiculous money to players and manger (like Brenda) we need to rely on guys with potential who can use Rangers to enhance their career by making our club successful again.

That being said, we have a huge support, great tradition and history and we have ambitions to regain our place at the big table.

Sky and BT have gone a long way to ruining the game and 1000's of fans of Rangers pay big money to watch other teams play.

Just perhaps if Sky and BT had wind of profits based on investing in our game or insisting that their deals for the English game had to include some integration with Scotland we would become more attractive to investors.

James I will back the new manager 100% whoever he is. I just think it's a mistake. I will be overjoyed to be proven wrong and I hope I am.
