Does anyone think that our new manager will give Hardie, Burt and Thompson a chance next season? If we get Rossiter, Kranjcar and Crooks back they will be like new signings.

I think he'll play the best players available to him, he's got no axe to grind or baggage to bear. It's a fresh canvas.

I think young Thompson will definitely come into contention next season. Couldn't understand why he didn't figure in MW's plans. Looked a really tidy young player when he first signed from Man U

I like burt from what I've seen, also a few of the younger guys ashmore, beerman mcrorie but its barjonas that really sticks out to me very tidy midfield player, looks the type that will just keep getting better but I hope anyone who does get the chance is bled in gradually we as fans expect too much from boys at times! Not overly keen on ryan hardie but hopefully prove me wrong

I'm old enough to remember a very young and slim Denis Law making his debut for Huddersfield Town when only 16 and four years later was playing for Manchester City aged just 20, so I don't get all this stuff about easing young players in gently. Jordan Thompson is 20 now and Burt is 18. If they are good enough they are old enough. Look how many youngsters McCoist ignored and Warburton pretty well did the same. I like the sound of a midfield with Rossiter, Hyndman and Burt playing.

Derek johnston was 16 when he scored the goal v celtic for league cup win 1970. Age means nothing. Is big Clint too old at 38 to score and then make last ditch tackle don't think so.

The difference is Huddersfield fans and rangers fans have expectations at opposite ends of the spectrum boys! I've lost count of talents that have been ruined in this country by fans who heap too much pressure on a youngster and have them billed as world beaters after one decent game

I hope he has the nuts to give some of the youngsters a go, youthful energy, belief and lack of fear is what we need! one or 2 youngster might actually have a major infectious belief that we need! Burt, Gilmour, Robbie McCrorie have all had major teams look at them, Hardie for me looks as if he has that goalscoring knack! not a great player but knows where the goal is ( think McCoist, Boyd, even Dodds frustrating players but goals guarenteed! )
