Rumour has it the bookies are making David Moyes and Malky Mackay favourites for the Scotland job. No real shock there, and the Celtic connection continues. Surprise surprise.

We were a country that used to produce managers such as ferguson, stein and Shankley but the sfa need to realise we no longer do and football has changed. I for one believe that there would be no shame in bringing in a foreign manager. If we did though he would need to have full control and the people especially the press would need to lose the johnny foreigner what does he know attitude. Because no matter how you look at it the undertones are racist. Look at our own manager written off all the time before a ball is kicked mocked and degraded all the time. Now the wording may not be racist, they may not hate someone for nationality or skin colour but he is judged, disregarded and disrespected because he isn't British. If we went somewhere and tried to explain something from our Scottish dialect into English never even mind a foreign language we would find ourselves using analogies that sometimes may make sense to use but are pure gibberish to others but the guy in my opinion speaks better than most in the league and especially in the press and commentary positions. Michael Stewart, kris boyd, chris common, andy walker, pat Neven and most of all Sutton. These are people that slaver pish for a living yet think they can judge Pedro, jog on pal. Let's face it Pedro handles himself better than the breadman, le guen and alec mcliesh (15 seconds between words) . I would love to hear what some in the press would have to say about there inbread racism I think they'd certainly deny it but most certainly rubbish themselves once the take stock of themselves. Strachan, moyes and the likes are not the answer. Felix magath with lambert as assistant or something along those lines

well said gary. take the recent quote where he said morton play similar style and format as st johnstone, press interpretation st johnstone are like morton. we should just stop doing press conferences.

Great post Gary thank god there is someone else who thinks the same I don't know if Pedro will make it as our manager but I sincerely hope he does as you say what is being said and written about him is nothing but disgusting drivel . even this morning pedro says there is a rat in the dressing room? He did not say the headline was in the express And when you read the article there is no mention of him saying it there should be some kind of standards brought into journalism because that as you say is out and out lies .

An what difference does it make if he interviews well on TV. NONE. What has this post turned into. Pedro Fan club. It was a rumour about the names in the frame for Scotland manager. Not how Pedro's drivel is interpreted by the press.

Bigcliff it was relivant as the perception of non British managers is appalling. Apart from ferguson how many British managers have been the main men in management? And even fergie with his two European cups is still not top of the pile over all, but we in Britain have a problem with non British calling the shots in football. We look at other countries as if they are corrupt and we are pure of heart but look at the sfa, the spl, the spfl and the compliance officer they are the most dodgy characters in our game. Big cliff you and all the other nae sayers need to get a grip ask yourself do you even like rangers, do you even like football, do you understand football and would you be better taking up knitting

So if you say something against ped or a foreigner then you are a racist?

11.) 12 Oct 2017
12 Oct 2017 14:55:31
No coldo it is the way you use it and your motivation. It's like when you knock a club and keep having digs at it and look for bad things surrounding it then that isn't supportive, so if you stop being supportive then ask yourself are you still a supporter

12.) 12 Oct 2017
12 Oct 2017 14:59:53
Coldo no-one is saying if you say something against Pedro you're a racist.

They are saying if you are saying something against Pedro BECAUSE he's a foreigner you're a racist.

However I don't this is correct either. The issue being raised is understanding how the game is played in Scotland. No-one is bemoaning race, just knowledge.

Absolute nonsense to suggest the criticism of Pedro is because he's Portuguese. If you win, it doesn't matter if you're Portuguese, Scottish or that Black Lesbian Saxophonist. If you lose, you'll be hammered - just like Ally ended up being, just like Kenny, just like Eck in the latter part of his spell here.

They're all Scottish. The fact Pedro's not Scottish has nothing to do with why he's being criticised. He's being criticised because, like his players, and the board, none are fit for Rangers Standard. And that's wherever they come from.

Well said Gary. Pedro needs to be given a chance and when he speaks the press twist his words. I've actually given up reading the lies in the papers and listening to these pundits trying to carve out a career on tv.
As for Strachan. I think he has taken Scotland as far as he can. Time for a change in my opinion. Pay decent money and get a top manager in. Scottish or foreign I don't mind as long as they can take the national team to the next level.

Probably a left feild bet but would love to see sir alex or Walter take a campaign to break our duck and have mcinnes an assistant along with Aberdeen job and then give him the job for the World Cup campaign.

12 Oct 2017 19:51:54
I do remember his interviews and I never heard the sort of nonsense that comes out of the current managers mouth time and time again to when mcleish was the manager of Rangers. In fact, even le guen never came out with half the stuff this guy comes out with, it's embarrassing.

18.) 13 Oct 2017
13 Oct 2017 00:26:59
But no one is saying anything about ped or any other foreigner because they are foreign. The are saying things because many believe he isn't up to it. And if you say something against him no matter how many times it does not mean that you are not a supporter.

there is a severe blue tint on this page that does not really see the bigger picture. A blue tint that will see progression in us finishing a few points closer to Celtic and Aberdeen as a successful season. In context of what we have spent we should be only losing to Celtic in my opinion. Who have a stronger squad. Nobody else should be taking points off us. If we did not find a gem in the buffalo how many points has his goals won us? You take his contribution out of that team and we could be in a very very awkward position.

Blue tint? On a Rangers page? How miserable would this page be if it didn't have a blue tint? I've never heard of a clubs progression being halted due to fans supporting their club whole heartedly. Impatience and negativity is far more likely to impair our rise to the top. Statements like "Nobody else (celtic apart) should be taking points off us" is nuts. Watford beat Asenal yesterday. Leicester won the Premier league 2 years ago. This is football and the guy that spends the most money doesn't win every week. Catch a grip and enjoy winning 3-0, 4-1 etc etc
