Pena was due to play as part of the Development squad / fringe players XI tonight, but didn't even get a minute.
Personally i'd like to see him under Murty as Murty seems to have players wanting to play for him and clearly enjoying their football. He's brilliant at taking the pressure off the players, and that's exactly what Pena needs.

It doesn't help when he is eating and drinking the wrong stuff in his Dakota hotel room . allegedly of course.

I would be surprised if we see him play again

It would be nice to find out definitively what the issue is with this guy.
I've seen enough of him (in my own opinion) that there is a decent player in him.

Something is definitely amiss.

He for me makes all the good runs and can read the game well but he is very very slow and his first touch since arriving is worse than big flo's

"He's brilliant at taking the pressure off the players, and that's exactly what Pena needs. "

How do you know this? Are you basing it on his handful of 1st team games? Or do you have a deeper knowledge of him than most?
Also, I can't understand why so many are calling for him to be given the manager's job. He has no track record.

Don’t mention Flo and Pena in the same sentence, come on.

Pena would be a decent player if given the chance, the press and some tv pundits would just love to see him fail. I support him and whoever else wears a Rangers jersey.

I tend to agree that we might not see Pena play again as it might be difficult for him to get in the starting 11.
He has scored 4 goals in 5 appearances to be fair but does he have the desire and hunger to be a success, but only Murty could answer that question.

his performance in the semi-final will insure he won't kick a ball again he ran about like it was his first time on a football pitch and after seeing some meaty challenges going in he decided he wanted none of it not the desire i want to see from a rangers player keep him well away from first team

Hopefully Pedro takes him back to Mexico he’s Colin Nish

Fortunately he isn't Colin Nish, and Rangers would benefit playing him upfront with Morelos, because as stated before. his space finding and finishing prowess is impeccable. Unfortunately he has been hyped as a DM, CM and a AM which he is never going to adapt to in Scotland. It becomes a leather chasing excersize for someone who is used to so much time on the ball in his home country. Give him a chance and let his movement and finishing excell upfront. Start playing to our advantages. Can't see Murty letting this happen, but these are the players Mark Allen plans to cash in on. Getting them playing time is a must going forward.
