Having read dave kings's statement again and digested it thoroughly, there's a good few hints in there guys! The glaring hint for me is, when he clearly mentions stability on the manager situation and the next manager will be a guy the board can trust to take the club forward! A lot think the statement is the death knell for graeme murty here, whereas i think the total opposite!

I think the board and our director of football mark allen think that graeme murty will offer the stability without this continual chopping and changing of the manager! Therefore i personally think still, that graeme murty will be the next permanent rangers manager!

I also think dave king has been clever in his statement, as it will motivate murty and the players even more to finish the season strong, as the job could still be his, especially with the way king has worded the statement! I'm telling you fellow bears our next permanent manager, is the guy who's currently the manager,
graeme murty! Watch this space!

Coops there is another way you can look at this statement he says progress on the pitch has not been as good as he hoped he also wants the best possible manager for the club
and provide stabilty to the manager postion.
If murty was going to get the job then why wait till the summer to provide all of this he could have anounced it this week and gave the player and murty a boost ahead of old firm game.
i really do think deboer will get the job as our new manager

Murtys already been told he's not going past the summer.

We've been in dialogue with FBD for a while now, originally it was what we could offer vs what he would want to take the job.

For me its a no brainer. If a player is from the outside looking in who do you want to play for? Graeme Murty or Frank De Boer?

FDB all day. Plus he has the credentials for coping with demanding supporters, tried to implement a style of play at CP and got 10 games? CP are a basket case of a club as it is anyways.

It's FDB.

Frank de boer is a good manager but i honestly think slaven bilic would be an even better choice and of course like de boer, he is also a free agent!

Frank De Boer, sacked at Inter Milan after 85 days. Sacked at Crystal Palace after 77 days

If we win on Sunday and finish second in league Murty will get the job on permanent basis. No logical reason why this would not be the case and rightly so. Supercoop is correct that the statement by DK is designed to galvanise and create strong performance on Sunday. We now need to shut up (including the players) and quietly go about our business preparing for Sunday.

Why do folk think deBoer is the answer, his track record in management is questionable to say the least!

Statement was just an effort to improve supporter morale on the day season ticket renewals are out.

Cleverly worded in a way that gives hope to people who want Murty and people who want a change.

deBoer got 85 days at Inter and 5 games at Palace, hardly a fair reflection of what he was trying to impose on the respective teams.

4 League titles in Holland, better record than any other Manager we have had in years! I don't see many other candidates who would be willing to come to us with those credentials. People asking for Neil Warnock who has never really managed a club anywhere near the level of Ajax. I think De Boer is the perfect fit and have said it before we went for Pedro.

There is a worry that King words the statement suggesting a new man to help with the season tickets and then cops out after and takes the cheap option with Murty. Still think he will go for a new name as the uproar amongst fans would be epic proportions.

Goalie as i said the other night about deboer he was never giving a fair chance at inter and palace just look at what he done at ajax winning titles.
As for bilic has club managment career ain't very good either part from one season at west ham

Craig there is no doubt he had a good record at Ajax. What was his budget there? i'm a fan of Murty and would give him the same budget Pedro wasted ( apart from Candias )

I am struggling to establish who I would like to see as our next boss, although Deboer played for us is it the right route to go down at this present time, don’t we need an immediate impact manager to halt the eastenders on there route to 10 in a row? I think Deboer would be better suited to come in without the stress of a potential 10 in a row and be able to build his football philosophy from grass roots right through.

Think it will be Murty. Deboer will want big budget which I don't think we have. Give Murty a few million and think he will do something. Could be wrong and big name may come in.

FDB has a better winrate percentage than Rodgers, and that's with his two stints at Inter and Palace.

I don't bank on that alone as being a good reason but considering his fit at Ajax and compare that to us its not too far away expectation wise.

The given would be it would mean a greater backing than Murty purely due to the differences in style.

Before anyone drones on about 4-3-3 again and recalls a manager who had an inability to have a plan B, FDB is not like that he's got previous for adapting his team to deal with opponents as well.

Goalie from what i can see deboer spent 2.5 million on a couple players each season at ajax and there was the odd one over this amount.
but rest of squad was younsters who he devoloped and sold on for good fees and some free players and loans.
Sohe never spent a fortune assembling the ajax teams that one him titles plus he brough a lot of funds in with player sales.

Before people say we can not afford a couple players at that kind of money look at pena herrera morelos cummings murphy these are all decent amounts of money then there wages on top with likes of sendoros kranjcar barton alves all picking up good wages aswell but hardly playing we certainly have had money to spend and will have funds again in the summer

No disrespect to murty but i think he will struggle to attract a better quality of player where deboer or any other bigger name manager could attract better quality.
Just look at celtic some players are only there because it is rodgers in charge and want play under him
