Hi guys,

Now this is a rumour from a friend with someone in the know (allegedly) . My friend is from the dark side but has no real reason to give this info falsely.
He has advised we are looking at appointing Roberto Martinez after the world cup. He said this is not guaranteed to happen but is 100% certain the board have met with him already.
That's as much as I know. Not sure how I feel about it TBH.

One thing I do know is that his wife is from Motherwell, good rumour but extremely unlikely I would have thought!

This rumour is true and it is the reason board members have been having meetings in Spain. Arteta is supposedly part of this aswell. I'm not saying Martinez is the next manager but he is on the list.

The fact that Martinez's wife is local is one of the reasons that were given for this to potentially happen.

I was speaking to a friend an hour ago and mentioned I’d read this and I was laughing about it, he told me his friend who usually has good info heard this when at the golf club from someone who will remain nameless as it would be unfair to attach his name to a rumour but there just might be some mileage in this

Martinet will be a complete flop up here. They guys philosophy to football is exactly what we have been trying since Warburton was appointed.

Great if u have hazard, de Bruyne and Co but not so good with poor to average players and he won't even have them with us.
