David Murray is what I'm hearing re investment. He's just sold land in Edinburgh for over £1bn and will be pumping money in. That's Monday's announcement. Souness apparently going onto board as well.

2 different sources.

One from inside Ibrox and ones a heavily connected ex player/ manager. Both stories the same.

🤞.

I know he sold his villa for 1.1 million
I’m hoping it’s more along the lines of Mccoll and Souter and Walker like a few others mentioned
No word on Murray selling land for that price
Like I said just his villa which is in Edinburgh 1.1 million

Murray has 2 large plots of land in west Edinburgh. 1 is going to be housing, the other is still for sale beside the airport.

I find it hard to believe that Murray is going to invest in Rangers as there is bad blood between him and King. Unless, Murray is going to buy out King.

David murray and anne coag is the names i heard both have just done a big land deal

Game of thrones/ Marco C David Murrays family business will create a housing site which will be valued at £450M when finished. Point 1 it is a FAMILY business and Point 2 who is going to purchase land near an airport for £550M? He does not have the £1Bn as reported above. The figures quoted are speculation.

9.) 05 May 2018

He sold the Torrance land he was planning to build golf course hotel and other stuff on near eaurocentral building houses there but not edinburgh

Bluetoon. The land next to the airport is all part of a much larger project with the land surrounding it. He also has the urban garden land which goes from baberton all the way out to Glasgow road where he already has housing plans approved. I Will pass the airport shortly and will post a photo of the sign with his name on it.

Also I never have any figures, only facts on land that he owns in west Edinburgh.

Lads as I say I’m just passing on info and I’m doing it on my own. No bollocks. This is legit info from 2 great sources that tally independently. I just hope like the genuine rest of us that it’s true. Speak again Monday with no recognition that I broke the news!

interested party

Edinburghs Garden District - Murray Estates

That's the figures and a bit of a scandal when they were given permission to build on greenbelt land

but can't see that he's sold it - just ME controls the lands

What a load of shxx people are talking suddenly youse are going to get everyone investing and Gerard's the new messia even though he's only been promised £10m what a joke

17.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 01:39:09
The only way Murray will get back into Rangers is if he gives King 20million + interest in his back pocket + another some of investment. Souness will not be on the board

18.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 03:11:28
I don't want David Murray near the club again

19.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 05:40:43
If David murray wants back in I'll welcome the man. But 1 billion for land? . Stop sniffing glue . or maybe tipex out a 10p biker bag. Sir David murray tried to do his best with us. It didn't work. Our own chairman lost 30million so calm down. Gerard needs 5 quality players and if David murray helps then let him help. Few beers lads so sorry about the rant lol.

20.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 07:33:28
I heard about a year ago the David Murrey wanted to try and make amends for what has happened and put a lot of money into Rangers but when nothing happened I thought it was just crap.

21.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 08:17:23
Not here to pish on anybody chips but it show you the kind of country we live in when a man like Murray can walk away leaving hundreds of millions of pounds of debt. Yet can still cherry pick the profitable bit of his company to buy at knock down price whilst us the tax payer pick up Sir David tab. Here ends the party political broadcast 😂

22.) 06 May 2018

Hundreds of millions of debt, behave yourself.

Big rfc who is anne coag? can't fond her name anywhere?

24.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 09:44:00
Anne Boag is the co founder of Stagecoach - her and her brother are minted and do loads for charity. Was a bit of a scandle as Stagecoach tried to avoid paying tax - not illegal but frowned upon.

They certainly have the money and are philanthropists but it would need to be a donation as we simply don't have the cash in Scottish Football.

Celtics pretax profits in 2016 were £18m - how can you "invest" 25m, run the club and get a return.

not saying its not true - just doesn't make sense financially. unless some people want to "dontate" money not to see a return on it.

All I am saying, remember what got you guys here in the first place.

Ed Can I at least get recognition for most replied to post.

What will you do with your spare time when we are back?

Does my head in that supposedly people from inside ibrox and ex players and managers keep spouting out what his happening. I enjoy the rumours page and the banter of it. But when proper info is being told by people in a position of trust then for me that’s out of order. I like the chat of what players etc we might go for and get. But when someone from inside the club is leaking information to the public about private matters, then that person can go imo

27.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 11:34:24
Ann Gloag is the businesswoman being referred to, founding partner of Stagecoach along with her brother Brian Souter. Extremely wealthy woman and clearly a shrewd operator but why she would want into football I have no idea!

28.) 06 May 2018
06 May 2018 12:35:24
The DM land deal seems to have 675 acres so based upon a reasonable price per acre of £50k is roughly £34m if he sold the land. Even if the land was worth 3 times what I suggest this is still less than £100m. The £1bn probably represents the overal investment to develop the site of which DM would only return the profit once developed and sold so say 10% on £1bn is would be £100m and not realised until Years from now.

This suggests that he could liquidate the assets if he planned to invest but it is no where near £1bn

While I think there is definitely something happening it is no where near the figures being touted
