Spoke to a mate who knows James Mcarthurs dad, McArthur hasn't signed a new deal at palace as he's homesick, he wants back up the road. Make of that what you will.

I like MaCarthur but my problem is if we sign him and and Arfield and make Murphy's deal permanent then our 4 across the middle are all very late 20s/ early 30s.

Going off topic aswell does anyone agree that Ross McCrorrie is a cracking defensive midfielder in the making NOT a centre half?

Stuart, I agree that McCrorrie’s best position is defrnsive midfield

I can see McCrorrie is going to flourish under stevie g if he turns out half the player he was it's win win win

The word earlier in the week was McArthur himself said that he signed a 4 year deal 2 years ago yet Transfermakt still says he's out of contract in June. Got to assume the player is right so it seems unlikely that he's an option much as I'd like to see it.

Didn't McArthur just come out and say there's still 2 years on bust contract? Pretty sure he did

Never heard him come out and say that lads but you may well be right. Just passing on what my mate said.
