There is no doubting we want skrtel but it will come down to finances he is on high wages at his club.
And seems our board once again though they where in with a chance but then spoke to his agent regarding wages
And have realised they are miles apart and can not afford him.
If this is the case this doesn't bode well for gerrard he has his pacific targets and seems we are going miss out on some due to wage demands.
This board have to give him the finance to compete.
Get rid of alves pena herrera and put wage towards skrtel.

What a load of rubbish as well about loan deals on here.

We can’t afford the top talent from England, Italy, Spain, etc. Long gone are the days when we went to PSG and got Arteta or van Bronkhurst from PSV.

As long as we bring them in from the top clubs to compliment our squad what is the issue. Look at the mhankies. Roberts and now Edouard have done a great job for them but then the lad from Chelsea flops. It’s a bit like any other signing. If we can bring some players who are out of our price range for a year or two we should look to bring them in.

Then you say it doesn’t bode well etc. clearly you thing Gerard is a complete numpty and has jumped onboard without any agreement on finances.

Gerrard would have got gurantees but so you aware our chairman has a habit of saying stuff then not doing it
