We are in for Angers midfielder Lassana Coulibaly who is a Mali international midfielder. Athletic, rapid and strong. Hope we negotiate an option to buy if it's a loan.

100% G Unit, if we get him we need to negotiate the option to buy even if it is £3M or something. If he comes here and does well then he’ll be too expensive for us next season.

Agreed G Unit. We need to look at buying this guy outright from the start or have an option to buy. He seems to fit the profile of someone we could develop further and sell at a profit in 2 or 3 years. I don't see the point in developing other teams talent and then they benefit.

We will build a strong team this season and hope to build upon that over the forthcoming seasons £3m isn't a large fee now a days but we can't afford to waste it

What if the parent club does not want to insert an option to buy? Will we just forget taking a top talent for a year and move on to a player who is of less quality but we can get an option to buy on that player. If we want to loan top talent then the chances of getting an option to buy clause inserted is very unlikely unless its for mega money. If we insist on options to buy, clubs will chase us and we will lose out on taking top talent for a year. Please try and understand this👍

Coldo, totally agree mate but he plays with Angers not PSG or Lyon, even after a hopefully successful season with us I doubt he'd command a mega fee, but from what I've saw ad heard of the guy an option to buy wouldn't be a bad thing.

Ger88, yip option to buy is a good thing, the point that I am making is that clubs that have top talent want to send them out to develop. Would we send out our top talent with an option to buy? No we wouldn't so why expect other clubs to do so? It doesn't matter if the club is angers or real madrid, if a club has an asset that could develop over the years to become a top player then why would they want to insert an option to buy clause on any loan deal when they could potentially make much more once the player has developed. The only way we will get an option to buy is if the club are looking to get rid of the player. Its like going to barcelona and asking for a loan of 19 yr old messi, they might say yes that good for his development. But then we tell them that we want an option to buy. They would laugh and chase us away.

New member, don't know how to use this! Anyway, John Terry is my rumour. Taxi driver told my mate in a chippy who told a Celtic fan (who sat on it for days) went to the Dole, was overheard by a Junkie, told a Priest, told a Business person, who told a Lawyer, who told a Stripper, who told me. Must be true?

No sorry this option to buy, at this moment in time if we had to loan 20 players to stop that mod in there tracks so be it! Build a lovely team after we have won the league but for now it belts and braces do what needs to be done! Well that's what i'am looking for,
