Bookies have made rangers favourites at 3/ 1 to sign Defoe. Wages the main issue with this one, but he would do some shift up here.

Always had defoe in the back of my mind as possible signing! Loves scoring goals. If we could do a deal for him and bring in Solanke on loan I'd be happy

Celtic fan here and not obsessed or on to have a go, just want to wish rangers success in terms of getting into europ league as we need both old firm teams getting points for our co efficient. The arrogance of people down south is staggering and Celtic and Rangers are massive clubs playing in a crap league. Domestic rivalry aside good luck gers in Europe as no matter what anyone say she i believe there is a grudging respect between fans of us both

Can I just remind everyone, a couple of seasons ago there were bookies who stopped taking money on RVP joining rangers and look how that turned out. Can always live in hope though.

I am a rangers fan living in Chelmsford in Essex. I can genuinely say I have never ever came across "breathtaking arrogance"from English football fans regarding Rangers and Celtic. Most football fans who are older than the sky sports era (i. e 20 years and above) will happily remind me how big the old firm are. It's the same with my English mates who proper root for Scotland in any sport whether it football rugby or boxing. Always makes me cringe when I have to explain why some Scottish people will actively support England's opponents.

We need all Scottish teams in Europe to do well, Scottish football is in serious threat of falling into League of Ireland territory co efficient wise. In fact, I'm sure last season it was said that Irish teams have progressed further in Europe than Scottish teams in the last 5 years?
