Think middleton will be a stand out this year. We play much more direct with him and Ejaria on the park. The lad sadiq looks like he can shift as well.

Ejaria is wasted in deeper midfield though - he's playing far too restricted. He's a creative attacking mid. Gerrard seems to be getting a lot right the past couple of matches but still his propensity for playing some players wildly out of position remains. He has a full squad to play everyone in the right position. Shouldn't waste players!

Thought ejaria had a poor game yesterday - didn't link up with halliday and Middleton on the left and seemed to wander to a deeper inside position - no point in coming really deep into his own half to do his one party trick - felt he could offer more if helped others around him - was pleasantly surprised by young Middleton- who is always determined to get to the by line and put a cross in - Goldson is just different class - his positional play and confidence on the ball is superb - a competent display which resulted in 3 good goals -.

Really like Middleton. My instinct was that he would be used as an impact player but the more I see him the more I think he's got to start.
