Hi all, I was at a charity event last night to raise funds for MND and Jan Wouters former Rangers coach was in attendance with his wife. We had a good chat to him reminiscing about his days at the club, the best days of his football career he said.

Anyway we asked him about the goings on at the club but he said he had little to no contacts at the club these days but still kept in touch with some former players. He said that a former player mentioned to him that Jones from Kilmarnock has been identified as the player to cover for Murphy dependant on the finances involved.

Jones would be a great signing I think as back-up/ squad player for us. His pace and technique on the ball could provide us with some good options.

Or, as we have previously pointed out in past seasons. A good winger is only as good as his tracking back. Take Sunday for example, Tavernier got all 3 assists down the right hand side completely unmarked. the winger responsible for this? Jordon Jones. Candeias and Murphy both embraced the fact they would need to go back with the full backs not so sure this guy would.

I initially thought Jordan Jones would be a good signing as a developing player buts he turns 24 in October so he is almost all the player he is ever going to be! He’s had 69 apps for Kilmarnock scoring 7 which isn’t phenomenal! Looking back further he started his career at Middlesbrough where he didn’t make 1single appearance then 2 loan spells at Hartlepool and Cambridge where he had only 12 games combined! If we’re looking for a squad player with future potential development I don’t think he is the answer!
