Think the players look like they're playing with fear. Need to take risks and move forward with pace if we're playing teams sitting in and trust that if it doesn't work we will tidy it up at the back and start again. Very annoying going back to the full backs being a key source of our attack. I get that it opens the game but quick link up play from midfield to forward should break teams down. We're not suited to balls into the box even if delivery is better I don't think.

I fully trust Gerrard to get it right.

However I think they didn't get everything correct in the transfer window. We are desperately needing that player who links the midfield and attack.

I reckon they looked at the games last season and seen how fragile we were at the back, whilst still being the top scorers in the division.

Hence why our midfield usually has 2 holding CM's.

I think personally that although the last few results haven't been that good, we aren't conceding 5 goals like in the Hibs game last season.

Once he gets the balance right, whether that means signing someone in January or the likes of Grezda can fill that role (not seen enough of him yet), I think we will start to see more positive results.

Agree with that Grant, 6pts from the next 2 league games is a must and hopefully avoid defeat in Moscow. Then regroup during the international break and hopefully we can find a settled best 11.

Fragile at the back yet dropped Katic after a storming start. I don't trust Gerrard half as much as I did.

Furthermore, the players are playing with fear because their manager is publicly attacking them all the time now. I don't know if this is the Benitez school of management but it doesn't work to castigate your charges publicly every time they get something wrong.

i see a lot of these posts, i don't think were all too bad at the start but when we haven't scored we start getting panicked. The one thing i think we lack and i hopefully more people have noticed it. GERRARD is OUR MANAGER, why our midfield not hitting long range shots. gerrard was always one to just hit the ball when they couldn't break a team down and score. our team lacks people that take the chance. seen quite a few times arfield could have pulled a shot off but decides to pass and work it into box.

Just talking today about Jorge the hammer. On Wednesday we had around 20 shots. I believe it's something he has notice and will sort.

Come on mate be balanced. Lots of posters going overboard when we were on a good run. Got to expect a bit of stick after last few performances. I'm 100% behind gerrard by the way.

rfcrb1872 the manager just tells it like it is. He praises the team when they deserve it and let’s them know they have to do better when it’s needed. It’s not under 10s where you tell boys they done well when they’ve been rubbish so they don’t start crying.
I fully trust Gerrard and McAllister to deliver 55 within the 3 year deadline and I believe with an addition of a quality midfielder and striker we wouldn’t be far away this year.
