Sky Sports saying we are the front runners to take Defoe on loan.

I know that he splits opinion on here but I think he'd be great for us. He's a superb finisher and with all the chances we create he's bound to do well. Not only that, it takes some of the pressure off of Morelos whilst also been a great learning experience for him to improve his finishing.

Not sure Defoe needs anympore experience, sorry couldn't resist. If Defoe were anywhere near his best he would be the first name on Bournemouth's team sheet, instead he has 20 mins or so as a sub. A few of us are hoping we can get 2 maybe 3 years from Davis sadly Defoe already has that how far has he regressed?

Was a class player. At 36 well past his best and has not been playing regular club football for a while. If up for the challenge I would take him on board for remainder of season, excellent cover and positive mentor for Morelos.

Just because a few punters have put money in him coming here and the bookies slashing the odds doesn’t make it so. If we all went and put money on messi coming to us the bookies would have no choice but to slash the price.

Defoe is coming to the end of his career, he's ticking along. i'm not sure he'd show 100% commitment, so for that reason its a no from me.

Odds only slashed as people are putting money on it. If we all went to the bookies and put £££s on Ronaldo to join us, the odds would get slashed.

I have followed Defoe's career since I saw him at Lillieshall, just as I have done with lots of promising kids. He's had a top career and was a proper striker, but unfortunately he now seems to be just that bit too far over the hill. A loan with no wage involved - or at best a token contribution - is the only way this could happen.

I am sure the manks were looking at him also a while back.

He’s a natural Goalscorer who has scored goals everywhere he’s been except Bournemouth as he’s had little game time.
He’s on a reported £100k per week and Bournemouth are amongst the least wealthiest In the BPL so don’t see why it would benefit them to loan him out unless a club are going to pay a large portion of his wages.
I’m hopeful he earns closer to £40k where we may be able to (at a push) negotiate paying a portion of that to loan him or that Bournemouth would give him pay off and he could sign on a free.
All wishful thinking most probably but I for 1 would be delighted if we managed to get Defoe in any capacity.

Would love too see him at Rangers he a incredible finisher and the big reason he’s not playing at Bmouth is Wilson is A quality striker could play for a top 4 side and and king ain’t far behind!
