Anybody else watch marelos' video of his goals on instagram? At the end it says transfer target, but with sky sports on it too. Has this video been made by sky sports or is he really trying to get away?

Well I hope he stays another year and shows yet again what he can do but keeps a lid on things We will never be able to replace his goals in a hurry! he's a player that is worth his weight in gold Morelos definitely worth 20m+ He has all the attributes to become a 60m+ within a couple of seasons and therefore fetching a mediocre EPL team a small fortune!

Personally I’d like to see ya move him on. He’s an undeniable talent but he’s let us down far too many times with his conduct and if we can get 12-15m then I’d punt him. I’m sure Stevie G and his team were/ are prepared for this outcome and have earmarked a few replacemts. Roofe from Leeds would be an excellent shout if we could tempt him up here. Whatever happens, I hope it’s concluded sooner rather than later.

We scored 14 goals in the games that morelos was suspended towards the end of the season, we also played the best football we had played all season without him. We will be fine without him. 60+mil kaz, I remember you said windass was a 15mil player. Behave yourself mate.

I totally agree with Kazman, if McGinn is being quoted at £50M then why wouldn’t he be worth that amount performing in the same market?

I genuinely believe he could get 40 goals this year, with the level of the squad improving I would expect more assists from the wide areas. Added to the amount of goals he naturally creates for himself by hassling defenders - goals which Defoe doesn’t score.

And again as I said in an earlier post, Roofe isn’t a goal scorer. Joe Garner has a better goal scoring record in the same league playing for worse teams.

No way was roofe going to leave Leeds for 5 million, that's just a figure getting chucked about by the press, remember the prices down south are tenfold on ours, maybe the 5 million would have worked as a down payment.

Tryanikian Trust me If he were to scores as much as 10 in the EPL for Crystal Palace out of say 30 games in his debut season Granted he stamps out the moody blue and disciplinary issues Morelos is still relatively young just turning 23yo and a Colombian International at that

Morelos will fetch Palace circa 60m The English League is the most expensive market in the world and your average player is now going for around 40-50m

Regarding Windass I was looking at Rangers getting around 4-5m for him and that he had the potential to be a 15m player

To be a 15m player down in England is not hard to conker It's the only league in the world with over-inflated values

A top Championship player is going for that amount these days and Windass as we just now is NOT a top Championship player, hence why I said potential at the time

We went on the best run all season without him, consistently destroying the top spl sides scoring 14 goals and letting in 1. We played our best football of the season without him. We are a much better team without him. If we get 12mil for him and use that to get kent then it would be the best bit of business of the summer. Sell morelos he's a good player but he isn't the be all and end all. We played a lot better without him he was a liability amd he cost us sooooo many points last season. Plus he isn't endearing himself to the fans by constantly angling for a move and giving interviews aswell as liking posts of him being linked with crystal palace CRYSTAL PALACE sell him we do not need him and the gaffer knows we will get a better striker in given enough time.

I might be one of the only folk here that would keep the boy. In the pictures I've seen from pre season he looks happy. I think if he emulates or surpasses his goal total from last year but gets control of his reactions I think his value would rise dramatically next season. The person that commented that we don't need him I totally disagree. When he is on his game we are a totally different team. He is unplayable on his day. I would take him over Defoe any day of the week. He just has everything. Just needs to get grip of that temper.

I don’t think some of us understand just how good Morelos is and could become. Defoe will not score the goals we need for the season. However I think Ojo could be used as a striker and be very effective. The boy has power and a lovely touch, great finesse strike and ability to beat people he could be massive this season. He could fill that spot if we need time to get a quality striker in January.

Unless it’s 20m Morelos won’t go.

Totally agree with you bellshilllad83 We are in no hurry to sell him and he will only depart if the price is right and its done in good time

The reason we haven't heard much yet is because the teams that do have their eye on Morelos will bid later on, as to try not create a bidding war

The transfer window is still open for at least a month So the bids will start rallying in the next week or so

Gerrard stated that too late of a bid will leave him a short time to replace him.

If the money is too good to turn down then matter how late it is in the window it will happen Simples

I would like him to stay as I do feel he has a point to prove having said that, he does want a move to the EPL and has come out saying that is his destination

It is inevitable he will leave We just need to make sure we do not come short of a striker and also get a moving on clause as I feel he will thrive in the EPL

All you guys that want him away will soon realise what a talent Morelos was at Rangers.

Defoe will score the goals, just like he did when morelos was suspended for 5 games. Ridiculous to suggest he won't. I'm not saying that I want morelos to go, I'm saying we are better as a team with defoe up top, you just have to look at our form when morelos was out for 5 games to see that. We would have a stronger squad if we had both defoe and morelos, I like morelos but given the chance to get kent by selling morelos, I'd take that. Again you just have to look at the way we blew teams away when morelos was out and kent was in, particularly the celtic game. 12mil and add ons with a sell on % and morelos will be gone, nowhere near 20mil or more and throwing about figures of 60+mil because he has one cap for colombia, which he was howling or because he scores 10 goals at palace is just pure nonsense and outrageous BS.

Sorry his missed chance at goal would have been a skelly fluke had it went in. Anyone who saw the game today will know that we looked much better with defoe up top, his link up play, movement, runs etc is far superior to morelos. Morelos is not a 20mil st from the spl and he certainly will not go anywhere including on holiday for 60mil. You were one of the people on here last year kaz crying about who would score 18 goals from midfield if windass left, I told you then not to panic and I'm telling you now not to panic. Defoe is head and shoulders better than morelos.
