So Dykes has been reported as saying he wants to quit for Barnsley who are returning with a new and improved offer. SGL, how do you feel about that mate?

Covenanter, was reading the other day you were saying you were in the Rangers youth set up so I'm assuming you are a descent player. So my question is what is your take on Dykes?
I think for this league he would do alright as an option B bit obviously not a replacement for The Buffalo.

Think it just indicates that he wants to move. If club want to receive £2m and KO bid for £1m him wanting to go will see his value reduced. Wouldn’t be surprised if Livingston end up agreeing to sell for £1.25-£1.5m and I would like us to test the water with £1.25m.

He would have been worth a punt could have done a decent job as a target man, think we could do with at least 2 new strikers a proven from the spl would do no harm
Ie dykes or cosgrove and someone with a better pedigree the likes of roofe the more the better can't have too much fire power, too help cover injurys, cup games ext.

Wish Rangers would get the finger out and get a striker in and a good one at that and give the player some time around squad training facilities etc to start the new season

And with some of the strikers we have been linked with yes paper talk but there all going else where which I ether means we were not interested or were just to slow or don’t have the funds available?

Cletus, I was a coach, mate! However, my views on Dykes are well known here. He does not possess the necessary technique or intelligence to take us forward and wouldn't leave a club where he is first choice striker to one where the best he could hope for is third or fourth choice. He's an ordinary SPL player, not one who could play for us at a higher level in Europe.
