How can you say Dykes is a replacement for Morelos two completely different players, unless Gerrard is going to completely change the way we have played since he arrived I can’t see it, Morelos has played the lone striker his work rate make defences scared of him, he is great with his back to goal using his body strength bringing the midfield into play, Dykes I like but he couldn’t do what Alphie does he just isn’t that type of player, I’m not saying I wouldn’t want him but another Alphie type would need to come in as well, I like Dykes and his height in the box would give us another option when we are up against teams who park the bus.

Dykes is not the solution, he’s (imho) simply not good enough and at 1.5-2m he’s not a bargain, he’s a cheap option - we should be setting our sights higher.

I have heard the manager is keen to bring in a big striker and another type like vydra. If Morelos is sold, more than one forward player will be brought in. Stevie Naismith also been mentioned.
