We are close to signing 17 yo Romanian lb Kevin ciubotaru. Had trials at Arsenal Spurs Chelsea and Watford but work permit issues stopped any deal.

Agree berkshireblue, this window has been frustrating, we've brought in nearly 17million in the last few months, yet none of that money has been invested in players that would improve the first team, players bought in the last number of windows have not been good enough.

Big blue bear I kinda agree but developing young players between age of 18-21 is now crucial for european squad also nothing wrong with a free transfer Aas long as he is decent quality at worst you can punt them for couple hundred k next year but I do agree we should be signing at least a quality midfielder lundstrum will be gone jack injuries Davis age kamara and aribo eyeing prem and hagi injured surprised we've not added already.

Mark44 what do you want the management to do, just spend the money on anyone they can get for the sake of it? Don't you think they've been trying to bring in more quality?
I'm positive that the work going on behind the scenes is both tough and frustrating because as soon as we make an inquiry the player's price rises as the selling clubs know we have money to spend and are looking hard.
That's the completely negative part of the January window - you pay a premium if you need someone in now and that is a gamble we've taken too often and lost.

Tavsonloyal I want some of the money we've got recently spent on a few good players to improve the starting 11, for a number of years now wilson has signed players not good enough, every window it's the same free signings who have had little impact on the first team.

Tbf big blue bear . Diallo looked outstanding. Another couple of loans in his calibre to win the league would be sensible imo. Then invest in the summer when players are easier to get?
