10 mill all in then. As aribo will make the add ons no bother. Where as i think we will struggle to get the extra 4 mill in add ons for patterson.

Depends what the add ons are for Paul, I'm not convinced he will.

Bayern's original bid for Mane included add ons if we won the balloon d'Or twice or if Bayern won three champs leagues so it might not be straight up appearances etc (think they got quite rightly told to bolt on that one)

If the deal is 6 plus add ons and it is not a buy out then only a large sell on will make up for that.

Its my belief there is a large sell on, as I say if not and if 6m then Wilson has had a mare with Joe! From start to finish. 10m sell on is pathetic enough never mind not actually using it!

I’m starting to doubt Wilson. He has a lot to do to keep me onside. I loved how he handled SG leaving, he was magnificent! But the transfer windows since last summer have been p! ss poor!

Adding a large sell on for a player who has twice let his contracts run down at both his previous clubs would be a bit of an error IMO.

Just get £10m up front and move on. Southampton have just bought a youth player for £12-14m, no like they are not good for the £10m up front.

If that’s the fee then we should keep hold onto him for the champions league qualifiers. We wouldn’t be able to get someone in and up to speed in that time.

Good business, 10 mill up front or in total with add ons it doesn’t matter for a player 3 years ago we got for 300k. As for Joe if he wants to go and play in EPL that’s good for him, however Southampton are mid table at best, so he will be fighting not to be in a relegation battle, he is more attack minded I feel, but will be doing a lot of chasing and defending most games, so we will see how he gets on, remember at the famous we attack and have a lot of the ball. Good luck to him, he was a good player for us and hope it works out.

JA, now has form for running down his contract and getting a tidy signing on fee - we will not get much in the way of add ons in my opinion, that being the case if the up front fee is only 6mill that is shocking!

Depends on add ons. If clause reached don't think they would need to put add ons, would be straight 10m. Could work out better accepting slightly less but having big sell on. Wouldn't go on about him having big history of running down contract to be a free as he only had one move and now is being sold. £6m does seem low starting point tho.

As far as I’m aware they have activated the £10m release clause and we have inserted a sell on clause of 20%. There is other appearance and performance based bonuses that could net club another £2m so it’s a good deal for us and I wish Aribo well and feel now is best time for him to move on.
