I’m getting scunnered with all of these English player links. I know he’s not a left back, but for example, Celtic have just signed the boy Thiago Holm from Norway who is up for European Golden Boy this year, and only for a couple of million. He does look a cracking player.

I understand people don’t care what that other lot do, and I don’t either, but I care about the people we are potentially being linked with. Sam field is another. Is he really going to help us for Europe? End of the day, the Championship in England is a SECOND division. A lot of people seem to have the idea that it’s a top league. I understand decent players come from there. We have a team to catch and I’m concerned these links just aren’t going to do it. Where’s the ambition? Where’s the standards in terms of quality THROUGHOUT the club?

Don't know much about him tbh, but from his history he doesn't look like any more than squad filler (maybe fine to replace one of ridvan or borna) on a free at a time when we really need to invest in a significant upgrade at LB.

Then again, if we're moving them both on, maybe this would free up resources to go get a better LB for the first team?

Why is Ridvans Height even an issue, Taylor frimpong and juranovic all the same Height or slightly smaller and they all done OK over the last few years and we certainly didn't target them during games because we thought they were too small.
Borna is 6'1 and he's no good.

Imo ridvan needs to be given a proper chance, looked good towards the end of the season.
Didn't have a great pre season but who did really!

Just reading that Cox has recovered from a heart condition, is 5`7" and is currently at Fortuna Sittard, a mid table Dutch team. For people to assume that he is better than Borna or even Ridvan is a huge assumption. We need to get out the left back catalogues and go to a decent shop and get one.
