Yes as John suggests, it really isn’t a case right now of whether we have the money available to spend on players (lots of Celtic fans love suggesting that we are broke because we are bringing in players on loan instead of buying them outright), we are structuring the deals this way so that the cost of the players fall into next years accounting in regards to FFP. The idea is that come the summer window there will be much more of chance of selling a few players in order to balance the incoming ones that we will be paying for at that point, the January window is notoriously difficult to actually move on / sell players so if we had paid the fees for those coming in now there would be little chance of selling the ones we want out and therefore balancing the books in terms of FFP. We’ve actually been very clever in managing to structure the deals in this way and getting their clubs to agree to it. It’s allowed us to bring in players of a standard we otherwise wouldn’t of been able to do so (not because we can’t ‘afford’ them, but because we would of ended up breaching FFP) .

Did I miss the 'outs? '
So far all? In's
And not a lot of spending, hope as John227 says its to do with structuring the debt, however does that not just screw us for next year. Which could be huge if we qualify automatically For the CL.

Bar, that’s the point I’ve tried to make. We know it’s not likely that we’ll be able to make a lot of ‘outs’ in this window (no one is willing to spend much in January and a number of the players we want to move on are injured) . Not so much of an issue by ‘storing up’ the fees for the players we are bringing in now on loan until the summer as by the summer we are likely to be selling, Lammers, Cifuentes, Davies, probably Dowell maybe Ridvan (if not in this window) and maybe others. Plus the savings we’ll make on wages of the 4 or 5 out of contract players. So therefore the money we spend in the summer to purchase the players we are loaning just now will be substantially balanced by those we sell in the summer. If we paid the fees for them now then we wouldn’t be able to ‘balance them’ in terms of FFP within this financial FFP period.

Read the accounts. We do not have a lot of cash! If you can read accounts that is.
