what are the thoughs on offering new contracts to law, sheilds, bell? think templeton injury record going to make him a defo no no but the other 3?

personally i think law shoudl be a shoe in, and sheilds and bell i would keep if we could negotiate a new lower wage contract for them both, decent squad players for the permiership and know what to expect, think we need a few guys like that for next season, that is why keeping law is a good call also?

thoughts/ opinions?

The problem is, with MW stating on many occasion he likes a lean squad, if its a question of those 3 or 3 better class players sadly bye bye.

I would get shot of every player out of contract and get new players, harsh I know but I think we're going to need a better standard for the premiere league guys.

Personally I think sheils is one of the best signings made by far from super ally. His record in terms of goals/ assists to games is pretty good, especially as he is mainly a bit part player. I still think he has something to offer, assuming he's happy being a squad player.

But I do not think any of the players you mentioned will get a new deal.

Is there any need for Bell? We signed that Polish keeper last month. So surely Bell would be third choice. Get rid.

I also think Shiels is defo worth a new deal. He is a clever footballer who looks as if he could easily play in a number of positions. A very useful utility player imo. And I have a feeling MW thinks the same. I think Clark will go, Shiels will stay, and Law - 50-50.

Nabdy mentioned Clark! Thought it was bell, Shiels n law? I think there will be a few out in the summer, some or most if not all will flourish at another club, as they have with us, but given a run in any team them 3 will do well. I think keep DS, for more in the likes of temps, Clark, law, bell there going to go, not unless they get a run out and produce pure n utter class.

I would keep those 3, but Shiels will probably be released.

Only one I think should get a new contract from them 3 is Law. In recent games I've looked at the young lad zalelem from arsenal and thought to myself that law could do what he does and more, I actually think he may feel harshly treated with how little he's played of late considering he's having a not bad season.
Shiels is a good clever player but not good enough for the premier IMO. I don't think MW ever looks at him as a starter so what's the point in giving him a new contract to sit on the bench? we have young players who could fill that better and i'd like to think we will have 4-5 additional players in which will make an even bigger battle for positions.
Also I think with the wages he will be on we could get someone with a bit more quality and someone with a bit more value.
Bell has to go, 3rd choice right now and can't see him ever coming back into the team.
Also Clark should make way aswell.

Keep Law and Shiels and release Bell but don't know why we brought in Gotomski as Bell has been on the bench recently.
Will Gotomski ever feature in the first team.

{Ed039's Note - He was never brought in as first team goalkeeper)

Ed- Bell is now the back up to Foderingham so why bring a keeper in who will sit in the stand most Saturday's.
Hard to understand why we signed him on a 6 month deal.

{Ed039's Note - I believe the plans were to move Bell on during the transfer window but it didn't materialise)
