If it's within the laws of the game - crack on. If we did it because we thought it might give us an advantage and it did, I'd be delighted.

They could maybe give us a few more thousand tickets to fill the space they've created.

Don't see it as a big deal a wouldn't be too concerned by it. Myself! if they think that will help them get a result then they got to give it a go they need all the points they can get just now.

The upside is each corner kick will be 15ft nearer the goal and we know we'll get about 15 corners. A good game to cut down the short corner routine and get our centre backs attacking good old fashioned inswingers.

hope this not our manager looking for excuse already
although you imagine with the narrowing of the pitch the midfield will get bogged down
so a wee bet this weekend will be under three goals.

It's typical 3rd world Scottish football, we are already the laughing stock of Europe with the cup draw debacle, it's not alloa issue its the Blazers who don't have a scobby do, the rules are so loose any half wit can exploit them, personally I think it's hilarious. Ohh I know, it's actually " sporting integrity" all together, the cry.

There should be a regulation of 10 yards if this is to be done, oh and they have to keep these dimensions to the end of the season ( lol) .

So many moaners and victim card players on here with short memories.
Anyone want to retract their comments following the post by square route?

I think that them using pitch size change within the rules is well planned.
We did it to suit ourselves to great effect years ago.
I know Warbs is against having a plan B but tactics are crucial in the modern game.
We play wide, Alloa have had the knowledge to lessen the effect. Now we need to figure other things out.
With our wingers playing further infield and less room for full backs to overlap Maybe we move to a 4-4-2 diamond.
Foder
Tav-Kiernan-Wilson-Wallace
Ball
Halliday-Holt
McKay (no.10 role)
Miller-Waggy

A narrower midfield leaves still room for full backs to attack. Ball can shore up when they do.
McKay can try and pick way through the middle and 2 out and out strikers to hit hard through centre.
Also we need to load the box at corners. It is a shorter distance to hit so let's fizz them into the middle.
With McKay and others more central, the free kicks we get should be more dangerous also.

Agree with bluegenius on McKay no.10 role thought he looked a better player in that role than out wide and linked better to notch a fine goal. Holt will get into box wherever he plays anyhow.
