Garner didn't have a productive season just there, but was terrific in League One and scored more than Bradshaw and Grigg.

Lescott was the West Brom player of the year in his debut season at the club. He was part of a rank rotten team, but it wasn't a team just consisting of Joleon Lescott. He was one player.

One bad season doesn't ruin a player's reputation and career. People can talk about that one season and ignore all the good he's done before. A team of Lescott, Barton, Kranjcar, Rossiter and many others. Find it difficult to point out q flaw in this current team.

Thorn76 it does when age catches up on you, should be looking at early 30s at the oldest. Would of been intersting to see what PS was capable of instead, or wish we could sign and have both, do this by letting Hill go into coaching if possible.

Alex 1972,davie weir was 37 years old when he signed for us and look how good he was in scottish football, lescott and senderos are 34 and 31 respectively and still got mileage left on their biological clock, these ages are not a great concern where centre halfs are concerned mate, both lescott and senderos would cruise it in scottish football imo, good signings!

I really don't get these people who are not excited by the Lescott signing. Do you guys even watch football? Seriously tho, jumping on the bandwagon with a pocket full of stats. Actually watch some matches. Remi Garde, last seasons Aston Villa manager actually came out and hailed Lescott as one of the better players in that team. From what I seen I agree.

For me, Lescott was disgraceful last season.

Bearing in mind he is a Villa fan, the lack of effort and desire he showed in some games last season was astounding.

If he was like that playing for the club he supported when they were going down what is he going to be like in Scotland playing for a team that he has no particular emotional attachment to?

I think Senderos will be a good signing if it happens. Good pedigree and has played at the top over a sustained period.
