Absolutely shocking some of the stuff I have read on here today, get a grip lads!

MW and DW have worked wonders for our club since they arrived on a very tight budget, let's all remember that the money Warburton has had to spend is nothing compared to Rodgers and the fact Celtic are champions and we have just came up from the Championship so the defeat does not surprise me. We are a few games into a long season and 1 defeat will not define our season.

I will be the first to admit the tactics surprised me on Saturday, we have started with at least 2 holding midfielders in every game this season, so why change that against the best team in the league? Barton has had a lot of bad press since the game and when you have a mouth and a twitter account as big as his then you are going to take some stick but he was fully aware of that when he joined us, but he was far from the worst player on the park for us (don't think I need to mention any names) .

Anyway, I have every faith in our management team and fully expect us to finish in the top 3, for me that would be a very successful season.

On another point, people need to get a grip regarding our defensive situation. fans on here thinking Crooks and Bates are the way to go! They are both untested at this level and will need to time to learn and adjust.

Keep the faith bears!

They maybe untested but a would rather go with them than play that dumplin senderos man is a donkey meant to be a experience player gets a stupid yellow card then hand balls it would rather he went with a young Scot and he made mistake wouldn't be as bad for the life of me a can't understand where all our youth players are surely there must be at least one half decent centre back what must our young players be thinking when we sign a 37 year old and a Swiss donkey first rule of defending is stay on your feet what does he do slides in goal.

can i ask what wonders they have worked.

Winning the championship with less points and goal difference than hearts did?

losing the cup final from a winning position with 2 mins to go (knocking celtic out on pens? let's be fair is wans't a thumping or a standard 90 mins victory)

winning ramsdens cup against part timers?

Signing senderos, hill, barton, kranjaer and giving them game time over rossiter etc.

being unwilling to admit there is a gulf in class, shows defiance and through defiance comes ignorance to the situation.

Warburton and Weir are average. Robbie Neilson won the championship and fin 3rd last season on a budget of less than half of what rangers is on. Stubbs won the cup (albeit losing the league) but at least hibs qualified for europe.

signing windass, rossiter tavernier is about as good a wonder they have done.

Yes your right and that's exactly what I've been saying for a while now. With the budget he had last season he should have won the league. That was a minimum requirement. The actions of the Hibs fans after the Scottish cup final did him a favour as it took the spotlight off him and his poor tactics that day. We lost twice to Falkirk and Hibs away in the league and now have been hammered by Celtic away. At the moment can any Rangers fan say we aren't fair game for any team in the league? We have Aberdeen and Hearts away soon and is anyone confident we will win both games?

Biffo: i am a celtic man, and i enjoy seeing rangers struggle, but this does not obstruct me from taking off the Bias Blinkers and make an observant judgement based on facts, and i like you albeit you have more of an emotional connection to the club have laid on the facts for onlyshow and rafbob and others and all they could come back with was the: obsession and paranoid remarks.

me and you can agree on the same facts we see regarding the rangers. but defiance, ignorance, expectations and hatred for your glasgow counterparts are handicapping others fans views. and this is only going to lead to more hurt and frustration for yourselves.

drop more points next week or get soundly beat by the dons and there will be a bigger storm, then maybe other rangers fans will realise what you already know "that Warburton is an average manager" and the club is not moving forward.

Kaney 1983,Like Biffo 316 I'm a Rangers fan and I like to see Celtic struggle so enjoyed Lincoln Red Imps and HapoEl away. Didn't enjoy Saturday quite so much I'd admit though.
As for your statement that Warburton is an average manager I'd say-after 5 admittedly fairly poor to poorgames in the Premiership how do you or anyone else know that. Using your "observant judgment" criterion and 'evidence' of his failings I could make a similar judgment about Brendan Rodgers, a manager whose only actual achievement has been to get Swansea promoted to the EPL via the play-offs. A manager who should have won Liverpool the league but didn't but these things happen eh! I know quite a lot of Reds including my own sons who were very happy to see him sacked in 2015.They regularly criticised his selections and tactics too and said he wasn't much of a man manager either. Oh, but that's different isn't it as he's your manager. He has had a pretty good start and it could be said he's"worked wonders" with Celtic in comparison to Deila (like Warburton in comparison to his predecessors) but all he has done so far is what should be expected of him, surely.
The "gulf in class" statement by the way is what I'd expect him to say publicly. Imagine (hard I know at the moment) that the result had been the other way would you expect Rodgers to come out and say "you know what we're crap and it'll take years to catch them up "and if he did you would be happy with that. By the way I have no illusions about winning the league, had hoped for 2nd but realise if we don't pick up soon top 6 might be more realistic which will be poor given our budget just in case you brand me as another obsessed, paranoid Rangers fan but I do believe that Mark Warburton should be given the season to prove whether he is average or not.

A number of our players did not complete or even meet other team members during pre season. You could se on Saturday our fitness levels were not as they should be. Warbs remarked on the league cup games impacting preparation -now those chickens have came home to roast -big time. Quite apparent many of our team -froze in the heated atmosphere of Parkhead- Played like Strangers rather than Rangers. I am convinced Warbs will get in right- TBH he does not have any other option -we all know the score.

true sign of madness is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. Barton is not match fit, neither is Krancjar - bench them until they are fit. Barton seems over or underwhelmed with Scottish football - not even close to the same player he was for Burnley last season

With regards to the usual platitudes about "learning from this experience etc" Suggest Warbs plays the video of the Celtic supporters revelling in our humiliation - If that's not motivation to get their act together- then sorry lads- Glasgow Rangers is not the club for you!
