Seen Bartons been banished, maybe it's best for both parties if he just tore up his contract, he's not got going on the park and now this. Holding wee Rossiter back who is the future of our midfield imo.

Whilst he has reminded me of Ian black so far, we really need to give him more time before we write him off.

Just seen the story.

Hardly a good omen, the team needs to stick together and fight opponents not ourselves!

This isn't his first fall out with Halliday and others took Andys side. Apparently it was handbags but they had to be separated. Perfect opportunity to rip up his contract as I believe Rossiter and Crooks will be better in that role.

Always a chance it was going to happen. He's had problems at nearly all his previous clubs.

personally i would be happy if barton did not play again for rangers. realistically he hasn't been good enough for us. he seems to be more interested in twitter!

Nobody more gutted than me to see him fail at Ibrox so far, a thought he would have been excellent up here. But if one things been apparent this year it's that we have too many of the same type of player in the middle of the park, which is ironic because last year we were crying out for just one CDM.
The teams looked too slow when he plays, ad rather tear up his contract and spend the money on a CB.

Teams way faster without him. A massive risk for MW wanting him to be his blue chip signing. It sounds great just saying rip up his contract. It doesn't work that way. There's disciplinary procedures you have to go thru before trying to end a contract and fisty cuffs would be a verbal or written warning. Instant dismissal ain't an option These guys have that many clauses they should be from the north pole.

Barton will not rip up his contract, it will be paid in full either now or later. unless The Rangers can find a way of sacking him

whats he on? 15k pw for 2 years (apporx 1,320,000 for the 2 years)

can yous afford to pay him off.

The thing that gets me about this whole Barton situation is warburton said that they do massive checks on any player before they are signed by the club. Barton hardly came without a good bit of baggage, so I feel that the aforementioned system was overlooked in his case. i

I'm still not going to judge the guy as he obviously can play and there has been a bust up on the back of the Celtic result. There has been too much tinkering to the midfield in in the first part of the season. I'd rather there be busy ups showing a frustration and a willingness to work through them, gelling and playing well rather than just simply not caring.

Don't write Barton off yet. He is a good player but will be hopefully learn that Scottish football isn't the walk over its perceived to be down south. You do not get as much time on the ball.

I was not at all happy when we signed Barton - but we signed him and I now back him because he's a Rangers player.

Admittedly, he's not performed to expectations - but no-one has. Personally, I'd give him some more time unless his latest indiscretion merits a punting.

The guy has a long list of clubs behind him - every one of them better than his current. Did they all carry him? No. He's a player but he's disguising it well at the moment.
