So Barton banned for 3 weeks.
Not good as his mouth has another 3 weeks to just open.
If the guy dose get back then he will have to fight for his place in the team.
He can talk the talk and it's his mouth that's playing the football at the moment.
He has to shut up and show us the football side of him and show the fans of our great club that we as Rangers don't need a Donald Trump at the moment .
We need a Muhammad Ali.
Do what you say you are going to do and bloody do it.

I agree that he will need to fight for his place because hopeully your Rossiter will be fit and playing well. I just don't want an inferior player like Halliday that appears to have thrown his toys out his pram because (1) he was dropped for Barton, and (2), he didn't like hearing the truth!

and what has rossiter done in a jersey to be so highly thought of? ever not even at rangers in general? halliday has done nothing but try his hardest for the club and been one of our best players for over a year. inferior player? compared to who? okay he's no Barry ferguson but he has been a solid player for us and deserves some respect.

Rossiter, when he has played for us this season has been one of our best players. Before his injury he was chapping on the door at Liverpool for first team football. He is a Young England International and captains the team. He has the potential to become a quality player in the Ferguson or (as was suggested by Liverpool fans), Gerard mould.

Halliday, whether we like it or not, is a mediocre player who will never be any better than he is. He did a decent job for us in an inferior league last season and was generally given the benefit of the doubt for being played out of position. We move on, we are in a better league than the Championship now and we need better quality players something that the manager identified. We won't win this league with the Halliday's of this world, and winning is all that matters!

I think Halliday showed on Saturday he still has a part to play. He just can't play with Barton and Rossiter together.
Beside any mixture of the other midfielders we have he looks fine.
