I just wonder why Warburton didn't give the like Burt, Hardie, Walsh or Murdoch a chance? People bang on about giving our young players a chance but like McCoist before him Warburton doesn't. Barrie Mackay has taken his chance, even though his form has tailed off recently. I'd rather that Hardie and Burt played every week than watch the efforts of Waghorn and others. If they are good enough they are old enough.

I am also disappointed that we have not seen or heard much about Burt. We seemed to put a lot of effort into getting him to sign a new contract when celtic were hovering but since then the guy has hardly seen a first team squad.

Simple answer, these lads are not good enough. Just because you are young doesn't instantly entitle you to a shot at the first team. From what I've heard from a friend inside Ibrox is that Warburton very quickly decided the youth at Rangers are not up to scratch.

I really like hardie, but I'm not so sure about the others, I hope they prove me wrong though.

hardie looks like he could be a player. but haven't we got our best and brightest out on loan deals.
