Yesterday was disappointing result but we salvaged some pride. Wednesday against SJ was terrible and not acceptable from a rangers team.

I thought we had solved the Right Back position a month ago when we promoted Hodson. Not only was Tav posted missing at the second goal (familiar sight) he was out muscle by Izargurie a number of times. Forrester's decision taking at the end was almost shameful.

Anyway it is past now, we are the world famous Glasgow Rangers, and somehow the world today does not feel quite as bad as I feared it would.

Happy New Year to all.

I wouldn't say that we solved the right back position. We improved upon it with Hodson being given this role but until we have a right back of the calibre of Gary Stevens, Bobby Shearer, Porini etc., we are still not at the level we should be. The problem with Warburton is that Tavernier is one of those players that he will not drop, Halliday being another one!

Slightly unfair on Hodson - he hadn't been given a run.

We don't want to build on good performances rather go back the "tried and tested" failures.

Something will have to change in 2017 the sooner the better!
