so a deal for hyndman and torral on loan 2 midfielders on loan what does this say to the younger lads in our squad is there any chance of signing these players permanent that would make a lot sense if there was but if they aren't these deals do not seem like forward planning from the club we should be walking second in the leauge with size of squad and budget compared to other clubs warburton bangs on about celtics financies beeing greatear that's why there is 19 point gap so where is rangers gap since we have better financies than others vying for second

It's hardly Warburtons fault that the board won't spend transfer fees and he has to get loan signings while celtic pay 3milion for players. Unfortunately most of the players in the youth squads with the exception of a few are not good enough. You only have to look at robbie crawford. I remember people on here going on about him and know he's playing for East Kilbride.

Holy is 100% correct. If the Board provided the required funds then we might actually see some quality players arriving on permanent deals but we are where we are. As far as our youth squad is concerned four years under McCoist and McDowall pretty much destroyed anything resembling a football club with a youth squad. We are fortunate that one or two are showing some progress under the current regime.

I really hope both r with a view to perm deal tho doubting that Hyndman deal is.
Fans need to be realistic about youth that we have as the few gems we do have are still kids and have physic of a kid.
Hardie and Walsh at 19 and 20 aren't good enough to get a start at St Mirren! They def aren't answer for Rangers at current moment . Both had a chance to play and shine in championship and neither has come close to doing so.

Never thought Crawford was anywhere near good enough for Rangers however it is a shock to see them have to go as low as the lowland league to get a game. Unfortunately McCoist and McDowall are responsible for the fact that our youth players aren't good enough to get near a very average squad

Andy Murdoch is a higher standard than Walsh and Hardie, wat he'd him again yesterday at Cappielow and he was brilliant! Shame he left, we have young players who are really good but they're still early in their development

Agree believe we made mistake letting the boy Murdoch go when we did.

For the love of God will people just stop going on about the youth and when are they going to get a chance. THEY ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, ITS SIMPLE!

its not down to our youths not good enough its down to them not getting a chance how are we going to no if there good enough or not if they don't get a game now a head of holt halliday ect the will see no path way to first team and will end up leaving
they should be giving a chance to prove there worth to me it just seems pointless playing other clubs youngsters to secure second in the leauge when we can give our own youngsters a chance and would secure second with what we have plus them i hope there is a buy clause included in these deals then it makes sense

Personally I would prefer Murdoch in midfield to Halliday

It will tell the younger lads that they are not ready for the step up yet. Why do people focus so much on youth. If they are good enough they will play! They obviously aren't good enough yet! Simple!

Craigs8688, i'll tell you exactly what it says. "These players we're bringing on loan are far better than our own young players and warbs obviously doesn't think our current young players are up to playing in the big team, yet"! that's the message it sends out to me mate!

Aye when I was at the game all I could help think was that Murdoch is better than Halliday. Wouldn't mind Quintongo either when he is fit again.

@Craigs8688

I think you're missing the point. They don't get a chance because they are either not ready or good enough. You don't throw players in and see what happens, it doesn't work like that and never will. If they are on loan you more likely too see if they have it.

Our current youth do not have the calibre to make us better.

GDOg, you make a very good point but in the case of some of the young players that have been allowed to leave surely they could do as good a job as some of the so called Premier League players in our current line up.

Young Murdoch looked a decent prospect and is playing well for Morton. Surely he could have done a better job than Halliday is doing in that same role!
